Recalls and owner complaints reported to NHTSA
Compared with the typical (middle) count of 125 complaints across the 5 model-year 2025 half-ton trucks we cover. Best-selling trucks naturally collect more complaints because more of them are on the road.
Price & value
We don't guess at prices. Get a real value for the exact truck from Kelley Blue Book, then see how the asking price compares.
Is it a good deal?
- Look up the truck on Kelley Blue Book. Choose its cab, trim, options, miles, condition and your ZIP code, and note the private party value (or the fair purchase price if you're buying from a dealer).
- Enter that value and the asking price below.
Enter both numbers to see the deal rating.
The rating only compares the two numbers you enter: within 5% of the value is a good deal, 5–15% under is a great deal, and more than 15% under is a buy-it-now price. Know Your Truck isn't affiliated with Kelley Blue Book. Rust, accident history, lifts and mods, and service records all change what a truck is worth, so always get a pre-purchase inspection.
Owner's manual
Get the free official owner's manual from Ford's owner manual library. Choose 2025 F-150. It covers maintenance schedules, fluids, towing limits and warning lights. Older years may not be listed online.
Recalls
A recall doesn't mean a truck still has the problem. Enter the truck's VIN at nhtsa.gov/recalls or ask a dealer to see whether the repair was done.

I believe whats happening is - The transmission is downshifting too early, and applying a significant and random amount of braking resistance. This braking goes off and on at random. It prevents the driver from braking in a controlled manner, as this random and unpredictable additional braking caused by - i think - the transmission is constantly changing. Therefore sometime my truck will randomly and suddenly slow down, then accelerate. As a driver, I am always trying to match the trucks random braking, and brake calmly. Its impossible to do. This has caused me to nearly rear end people at stop lights, Fly out of my lane and into oncoming traffic while turning, or other people nearly rear end me. It is hard to explain exactly whats happening, but imagine a second person stepping on and off the brakes, at random times, and trying to drive normally with this extra braking. Also, the E brake turns itself on at random times and will remain locked up and catches fire. Thats happened a few times The tailgate also doesnt latch properly and will come open while driving. I have had it at the dealer for service 4 seperate times, but since there are no codes, they have yet to fix anything. I refuse to drive it anymore

Vehicle demonstrates an intermittent lag during acceleration, particularly during throttle position changes. Typical throttle response is appx 0.5s as measured by stopwatch. When the issue is replicated the delay can exceed 1 second. This is most concerning during situations where moderate to brisk acceleration is needed at a specific time such as turning across traffic at an intersection or merging with traffic flow with a large speed disparity from one lane to the other. Vehicle has been taken to multiple Ford dealerships multiple times. The ECU and TCU have been reprogrammed and the situation does not change. Dealership has noted an issue one time but otherwise claims that they have not been able to show the issue to be out of allowable parameters by Ford. Numerous forum posts online discuss the same symptoms and comment similar findings by Ford dealership techs. What they can readily replicate is understood but considered "normal". This behavior has created 2 different situations that nearly culminated in severe accidents with myself driving the vehicle, one time with my child in the seat exposed to oncoming traffic when the accelerator lag caused a severe situation. The first severe situation was crossing traffic outside of my child's school with oncoming traffic having to slam on brakes in order to avoid the collision. The second situation happened while merging lanes on a highway going from ~45mph up to ~60mph and almost caused the neighboring lane to rear end the vehicle. The dealerships have noted the delay exists but to be considered "within allowable limits" when it happens. No warning lamps come on as a regular pattern. This pattern first appeared when the vehicle was less than 500 miles on the odometer. The first dealership ignored the information.

Subject: Formal Customer Complaint – 2025 Ford F-150 Powertrain Malfunction / Reduced Power I am requesting that Ford Motor Company open a formal Customer Relationship Center case concerning an unresolved powertrain malfunction affecting my 2025 Ford F-150. Vehicle: 2025 Ford F-150 VIN: [XXX] Mileage: Approximately 19,215 miles Servicing Dealer: Gary Yeomans Ford, Daytona Beach, Florida On XXX my Ford mobile application generated an “Action needed” vehicle health alert stating: “Powertrain Malfunction / Reduced Power.” My vehicle is also displaying an illuminated wrench warning and a “Service Engine Soon” message. The Ford application continues to show the Powertrain Malfunction / Reduced Power condition and states that service is recommended. I contacted Gary Yeomans Ford regarding the condition. I was informed that a part necessary to repair the problem is on national backorder. However, I have not been provided with the diagnostic trouble codes, exact diagnosis, failed component, Ford part number, estimated part availability, estimated repair date, or written confirmation regarding whether Ford considers the vehicle safe to continue operating while this condition remains unresolved. At this time, I have not experienced an actual loss of power, stalling, abnormal shifting, accident, or other drivability event. Nevertheless, I am concerned about continuing to operate a vehicle that Ford’s own system identifies as having a “Powertrain Malfunction / Reduced Power” condition while the repair remains unavailable. I am requesting that Ford: 1. Open a formal Customer Relationship Center case and provide me with the case number. 2. Obtain the complete diagnosis and diagnostic trouble codes from Gary Yeomans Ford. 3. Provide the name and part number of the failed component. 4. Confirm the warranty coverage for this repair. 5. Escalate the nationally backordered replacement part. 6. Provide an estimated part availability and repair date. 7. Was driving down the road when a series of alerts started popping up on my instrument panel and lost braking ability. The following alerts occurred in the specific order. Parking brake service limited, Brake system failure alert, service advancedtrac. Braking Pedal went to the floor, I continued to stomp on the brake pedal and pump, trying to get a response. The braking system never responded and I eventually came to a rest. My safety as well as any drivers around me was put at risk. The vehicle has not been inspected by dealer as the incident just occured. I inspected the brake fluid level and for any obvious signs of brake failure. The mechanical aspects of the braking system were in working order(fluid level good, pads, rotors all in working order. I turned the truck off and back on and all the alerts subsided and the braking system worked as normal. I drove the truck home 1/2 mile with no issues after the brake failure. I am mechanically inclined, and would have to say this looks to be an electrical or communication failure within the vehicles computer system. There are no alerts or check engine lights on my truck after the incident. In the past my truck stores alerts in the app of anything that comes across the instrument cluster. I find it odd that there is no check engine light or alert to prevent someone from driving the vehicle after such an event, in turn creating another safety risk.

While I was driving, I was pressing my brakes and the vehicle would not stop at a stop sign. Then with the brakes pressed all the way down, it was a very elongated stop so this rolled me through the stop sign. Thankfully no cars were coming. It felt as if I was trying to stop on ice. Supposedly this was fixed with an OTA update when the initial recall came out last year.

I am submitting a formal complaint regarding a safety-related issue with my 2025 Ford F-150, 5.0, that began immediately following recent recall service on the brake booster system. Since the recall work was completed, the ABS system has been producing a loud electrical rattling or grinding noise during vehicle takeoff. This noise is consistent and occurs at low speeds when accelerating from a stop. Prior to the recall service, this issue was not present. Given that this problem appears to be directly related to the anti-lock braking system, I am concerned about the safety and reliability of my vehicle. The ABS system is critical for maintaining control and braking performance, and any malfunction or abnormal behavior raises serious concerns about potential failure or degraded performance. Please treat this matter with urgency, as it involves a critical safety system. I expect prompt resolution and clear communication regarding the findings and corrective actions.

Adaptive Cruise Control and/or Camera System misreads speed limit signs. 1. System misreads speed limit signs by acquiring information from State Route sign. Example: SR248, Speed Limit 55mph, SR248 marker 20, Reads it as 20mph. Example: SR2004, Speed Limit 45mph, SR2004 marker 60 and 70, reads it as 70mph. 2. System misreads Truck Speed Limit Signs as vehicle Speed Limit. The problem occurs when both Speed Limit and SR signs are in close proximity to each other. Vehicle is available. The system if engaged, has the potential to accelerate or decelerate as much as 35mph in these examples, causing potential loss of control because of rapid acceleration or deceleration. The vehicle has been at the dealer twice and they have not been able to replicate. They may not have been able to replicate because of sign placing in their area. Under these conditions, the Adaptive Cruise Control is a safety hazard. I have it disengaged and is useless.

Vehicle: 2025 Ford F-150 (VIN and mileage available upon request) Component: Rearview/backup camera display, Accessory Protocol Interface Module (APIM) / SYNC infotainment system (Sync 4 version 25211 revision 1966-same CCPU ver./VMCU version:6.1.42.2) Summary of Problem: The rearview camera display intermittently shows a distorted, glitched, or corrupted image when the vehicle is shifted into Reverse. The fault is not consistent or reproducible on demand, it occurs unpredictably across different drive cycles, which makes it difficult to document with video or photo evidence at the time it occurs. When the fault is present, the driver does not have a reliable rear-view image, reducing visibility and situational awareness while backing up. I checked my VIN against Ford's and NHTSA's recall databases and found no open recall covering this specific vehicle for this issue. However, Ford has issued multiple prior recalls (including NHTSA 25V315 / Ford 25S49) for related APIM software defects causing rear camera freezing, blanking, or display corruption on other model years and vehicle lines. This suggests the underlying APIM/software issue may not be fully resolved across all affected builds, including 2025 model year trucks not currently covered. Safety Concern: Because the failure is intermittent and unpredictable, the driver cannot anticipate when the rear camera will be unreliable, which itself is a safety hazard distinct from a consistent failure that could at least be planned around. This creates a risk of collision with pedestrians, vehicles, or objects behind the truck during reversing, particularly since the rear camera is often relied on as a primary means of rear visibility. Additional Notes: I am in the process of documenting occurrences and requesting APIM diagnostic logs from Ford/dealer service to establish a pattern, given the intermittent nature of the fault.

**2025 Ford F-150 – Repeated Wiring Harness Damage** I am reporting two separate incidents involving a 2025 Ford F-150 that resulted in significant damage to vehicle wiring harnesses and required replacement of major wiring components. On March 4, 2026, the vehicle sustained wiring damage during a dog-related incident. The vehicle was inspected by a Ford dealership, which determined that a major rear wiring harness required replacement. The repair cost approximately $2,054. The affected wiring was associated with the rear-axle/rear electrical system. In August 2026, a second, separate dog-related incident again resulted in extensive wiring damage. Ford ordered multiple wiring components to repair the vehicle, including RL3Z-13A409-F, RL3Z-14A411-B, TL3Z-13A576-AFA, and TL3Z-15K857-A. These components include major wiring assemblies and wiring associated with the ABS/wheel-speed sensing system. My concern is not simply the damage caused by the incidents, but the apparent vulnerability and accessibility of critical wiring on the vehicle. Two separate incidents within approximately five months resulted in substantial wiring damage and replacement of multiple harnesses and electrical components. Damage to wiring associated with braking, ABS/wheel-speed sensing, lighting, or other vehicle systems could potentially cause loss or malfunction of safety-related functions. I am requesting that NHTSA document and review these incidents to determine whether the routing, shielding, protection, or accessibility of wiring harnesses on the 2025 Ford F-150 presents a potential safety defect or broader safety-related trend.

My F150 lost all power while driving as my wife was approaching a stop sign on XXX. Everything in the truck failed to work. When the power went out all safety devices: 4-way hazards, parking brake, brakes, airbags, steering etc... were inoperable. The truck was towed to a Ford Dealer Garage in Manteno, Illinois about 150 miles from my home. The ford garage replaced the RL3Z-14A068-G Ford Panel Assembly-Fuse Junction Panel. The truck was in the shop for 7 days. I was never informed of the reason this junction panel assemble failed. This same truck was in the shop from May 27 - July 3, 2025 for a wiring harness concern with only 1,200. At first, they were going to replace the entire wiring harness, but eventually they repaired a loose pin. My truck has been in the shop for 45 days since purchasing it on April 18, 2025. My outstanding questions: Are the wiring harness and the panel assembly issues connected? Is it safe to drive my truck? I drove it home from 150 miles away from the breakdown. Since then, I have only driven it a few miles locally. My wife is hesitant to ride in the truck after the experience. I contacted Ford on June 4/5 and they connected me with the Ford service manager at Dixon Ford, in [XXX]. I asked that a Ford Service Engineer inspect the truck to trace any ghost resistance. He indicated that they were unable to perform this task at his place of service. The main concern I have: Is my truck safe to drive? We had initially discussed taking the truck on our 10-day trip to the Rocky Mountains, but opted for my wife's Highlander. Imagine if this failure occurred in the Rocky Mountains?

The vehicle was inspected by a Ford dealership, which determined that a major rear wiring harness required replacement. The repair cost approximately $2,054. I am writing to inform you that I have received my 2025 Ford F-150 back from the Steivers Ford dealership in Union City after the reported repairs were completed. Unfortunately, the vehicle still has a severe shake and vibration while driving. In fact, the condition is now worse than it was when I originally brought the vehicle in for service. After being without my truck for an extended period while repairs were performed, I am extremely disappointed that the underlying issue has not been resolved. This ongoing defect continues to affect the drivability of the vehicle and has significantly impacted my confidence in its safety and reliability. At this point, I would like to understand what Ford’s next steps are to permanently resolve this issue. Multiple repair attempts have not corrected the problem, and I do not believe it is reasonable to continue experiencing the same—or worse—condition after such extensive repairs. Please contact me as soon as possible to discuss how Ford intends to move forward. I am looking for a prompt and lasting resolution.

When I got out to investigate I realized the back glass of the truck had shattered and was laying in the bed of the truck. There was no indication of vandalism, the glass had pushed out from the inside, apparently related to the recent high heat in my area. i parked the truck on 6/30 and the morning of 7/2 was when i found the shattered rear glass.

I'm not sure what failed but a Google search with symptoms tells me it's a "throttle-by-wire" malfunction. The F150 truck accelerates immediately and aggresively to full throttle when I floor the gas peddle to merge traffic on freeways. It continues at full throttle regardless what I do. Braking gives a pop up window on the dash that reads "Brake Applied Power Reduced", and the brakes do slow the vehicle and even stop it but the engine revs at full throttle. This occurred the day I bought it driving home from dealership, testing it, I floored the gas peddle while on the freeway to see how it performs accelerating while passing other vehicles. It took over that day, I thought it had somehow activated Cruise Control being a new vehicle and me unfamiliar with operations, I would figure that out later and forgot. I pulled over that day, killed engine, restarted and it was fine. It repeated this malfunction two maybe three other times since that first day. Yesterday, XXX, would be the third or fouth time it has occurred and it wouldn't correct. I pulled over three times, put it in Park and it reved full throttle, killed it, waited two minutes, restarted and it went to full throttle. It is parked in my driveway and will accelerate to full throttel immediately even in Park. I am going to have it towed this morning, XXX to Brinson Ford in [XXX]. Therefore, a dealer has yet to look at it or try and reproduce problem. The first occurrence was the day I bought it which was September 12, 2025. My wife was parking our F150 in a parking lot with landscaped dividers I was a passenger. The vehicle was in one foot driving mode. As she approached the curb going 1 to 3 mph, she moved her foot from the accelerator to the brake. As soon as she left the accelerator the vehicle rocketed off. She put her foot down on the brake, but the power of the vehicle was so great and so fast the vehicle went over the curb and a 4 inch landscaping tree. Luckily we were facing a drive on the other side and not a car. The vehicle stopped in the drive. The surge possibly lasted 1-2 seconds, but that was enough to lose complete control. If we were facing another car we would have landed on top of it. We were not injured and no pedestrians were in the vicinity. The body shop and the Ford dealership were unable to tell us what occurred. Ford needs to access the EDR module. Online research shows this event has happened to other owners.

The driver-side rear tail lamp on my 2025 Ford F-150 Lightning developed a crack and internal condensation/moisture without a known impact event. The condition was confirmed by a Ford dealer, which recommended replacement of the LH tail lamp assembly. Ford denied warranty coverage and classified the lamp as non-warrantable cracked housing / outside-force damage. My concern is that cracking and moisture intrusion in a rear lamp assembly may affect lamp integrity, visibility, and safe operation, especially if similar failures are occurring in other recent F-150 Lightning vehicles. I had no crash, no fire, no injury, and no police report. The vehicle remained drivable, but the rear lamp assembly is available for inspection and the condition has been documented by the dealer and in photographs.

On November 2nd, 2025 at approximately 6pm, in Houston, Texas, my 2025 Ford F‑150 with Ford BlueCruise engaged in Hands‑Free mode was traveling with traffic at about 70 mph on a major thoroughfare. Without driver input, the system rapidly reduced speed to about 50 mph after it appeared to misinterpret an unknown speed‑limit change. This sudden, uncommanded deceleration created a hazardous speed differential with surrounding traffic. I swiftly took over manual control to maintain traffic flow and prevent a potential rear‑end collision. No crash or injury occurred, but the behavior constitutes phantom braking and false speed‑limit recognition in an Advanced Driver Assistance System feature.

Rear view camera intermittently failed to display image when truck arrived to dealer from manufacturer in Jun 2025 before purchase. Problem confirmed by dealer. Camera replaced by dealer but problem persisted within weeks of purchase. Rear view camera displayed distorted (inverted/reversed) images, flickered on/off, then finally completely failed again. Images/video of camera failing captured and provided to dealer who was able to reproduce problem but has been unable to fix problem over past 4 months due to a reportedly backordered part (coaxial cable). Lack of rear view camera reduces rear visibility when in reverse increasing risk of collision and increases risk of injury to pedestrians, particularly small children. Problems sound identical to those described in media reporting for multiple other Ford recalls on back-up cameras for other models and model years of the F150 raising suspicion that recall may need to be expanded to 2025 F150s

Also, yes, it would be available for inspection. I am unsure if it is a true safety concern as Ford says it is not and it is normal operation. However, with it making the rattling sound that it does I would believe that it could cause damage or that it's not normal operation. When I am parking the truck, I press and hold the brake pedal, While the truck shifter in in "Drive", I press the start/stop button to shut truck down, the shifter gets stuck in "drive" and doesn't automatically shift in to park. The truck locks down and will NOT operate as the shifter locks in "drive" and won't shift. This happened to me while travelling and was stuck in middle of no where for hours. Here are some troubleshooting tips from various Reddit posts... Immediate Troubleshooting Steps Battery Disconnect: Disconnect both 12V battery terminals (including the small one, if equipped) for 5-10 minutes to reset the system. Manual Park Release: Locate the manual release lever (often under a small cover near the shifter or under the steering wheel) to force it into Park. Restart Sequence: Turn the truck off, wait 1-2 minutes, and attempt to restart. Check Battery Voltage: A weak battery (under ) can cause shifter interlock issues.

My 2025 F-150 Tremor (5.0 V8, 402A package with modular front bumper) has a large open area in the front bumper. Through this opening you can clearly see the front of the engine and related components. This appears to be a design issue rather than a one-off build problem. Other 2025 Tremor owners with the same 402A modular bumper are reporting the same concern and asking whether a cover is missing from the factory. My concern is that the exposed opening could allow rocks, road debris, or off-road obstacles to directly impact vital components at highway speed or when driving on rough/uneven surfaces. This may increase the risk of damage, fluid leaks, or sudden loss of power/steering if components are struck. It also appears inconsistent with typical under-engine protection on off-road-oriented trims. I am asking NHTSA to review whether this bumper configuration provides adequate protection for critical components on the 2025 F-150 Tremor and whether a design change or shield/plate is needed for safety.

The tail lights have a design flaw that results in micro cracks appearing in the lights. This is similar to the issue related to the rear light bar, however it applies to the rear tail lights. (for reference the ford recall for he light bar is here: Recall Reference Number 23S30. The result in my vehicle is that the left tail light is now filled with moisture, full water droplets. This is both for the red tail light as well as the white backup light. When these lights fail it will cause a safety issue. Additionally, the same light housing includes the backup sensors, so when they fail there will be no backup alert. My left tail light is already filled with water like I mentioned. A perfectly symmetrical crack is forming on the right tail light although there is no visible water in that light yet. This should be fixed under a recall by ford since I did not cause the cracks in the tail lights.

Got into the Truck on Thursday 7/2/26. When I shut my door I heard what sounded like something falling out of the bed of the truck.

On October 13 at 9:23 PM in Seguin, TX, with Ford BlueCruise hands‑free engaged, the vehicle abruptly steered strong left and headed toward the left barrier. I immediately overrode the system and steered back to avoid a collision. No impact occurred. The maneuver was sudden and without adequate warning, presenting a serious crash risk.

On October 8, 2025, my wife and I purchased a 2025 Ford F-150 Lariat, 3.5L Full Hybrid, with Ford's BlueCruise hands-free driving feature. As first-time users, I reviewed the owner's manual and Ford’s videos to understand BlueCruise. After several uses, I noted unpredictable behavior and now report a serious safety issue warranting federal investigation. On October 15, 2025, while driving north on I-95 near Boston with BlueCruise engaged in hands-free mode on an approved route, I pressed the Memory 1 recall button to adjust my seat. A chime sounded, and the instrument panel stated that Memory Recall is not active while the vehicle is moving. Unexpectedly, pressing the button deactivated BlueCruise, causing immediate deceleration and returning steering control to me. During a shallow left turn, the vehicle proceeded straight, almost deviating from the lane. I quickly regained control, preventing a lane departure. The owner’s manual and Ford’s resources do not mention that Memory Recall can deactivate BlueCruise. This undocumented behavior is highly concerning. On October 20, I contacted Ford (Reference Number [XXX] ), but their response was inadequate, offering only a generic process without technical team access or follow-up commitment. BlueCruise’s lane-centering struggles with unclear or conflicting lane markings. On I-95 sections under resurfacing, temporary markings are placed 1-2 feet from fainter original lines. BlueCruise inconsistently tracks either set, causing unpredictable lateral movements, including sudden lane-edge excursions or rapid shifts over bridges where markings misalign. When another vehicle overtakes closely, crossing into our lane, BlueCruise momentarily loses lane-keeping ability due to obstructed markings, resulting in rapid steering movements. While such overtaking reflects poor driving by others, an automated system must handle these common scenarios reliably. I would like to discuss a failure and concern with my new 2025 Ford F150. The Failure: While driving down the highway with Blue Cruise engaged and in control, the truck quickly veered off to the right. I immediately grabbed the steering wheel to correct the direction of the truck to avoid being driven off the road by the system. Based on the photo (attached) I have attached, it appears the Blue Cruise system possibly became confused with these lines in the road. Had I not corrected the vehicle, the truck quite possibly could have continued veering to the right, causing a catastrophic vehicle crash. I have attached a photo for your viewing. The Concern: The second issue relates to the F150s transmission. Like my 2021 F150, the 2025 F150 continues to exhibit the same concern with the transmission shifting hard (with a thud) from Park to Drive and similarly when stopped at a light to engaging the gas pedal. This leaves me to believe there will be transmission failure at some point due to the hard jerks. What is going on Ford??

The first indication of a problem was a red "SERVICE CHARGING SYSTEM NOW" message at 121 total vehicle miles and continued to be intermittent. The vehicle was returned to the selling Ford dealership the next day. After a day in the service department, they were unable to duplicate the problem. This same message reappeared sporadically, but did not seem to affect the safe operation of the vehicle. At approximately 1460 miles the red "SERVICE CHARGING SYSTEM NOW" and many other messages appeared while I was on an interstate traveling at 70mph. As I started maneuvering for the nearest exit, the steering would not respond without using EXCESSIVE force, creating a dangerous, unsafe situation. I managed to safely exit the highway and park the vehicle. It would not reset or operate normally. The vehicle was subsequently towed to a Ford dealer. After 3 weeks of troubleshooting, they replaced the main AGM 12V battery (Part Number BAGM 94RH7 800) and the DCDC Converter (Part Number ML3Z 14G649 F). These components may be available from Astro Ford in Biloxi, MS for inspection.

Driver side rear tail light housing has a crack that has allowed moisture to enter the housing. Oct 2025 Took it to dealer to notify of the problem of water getting in the tail light housing once noticed around 500 miles on truck about a month after purchase. Told to make an appointment to get it submitted for warranty. I was able to dry out the tail light housing and epoxied the crack to prevent water from getting back in. When I finally had the time for an appointment with recall service I had the dealer submit the claim April 2026. Ford denied the claim on 5/11/2026 due to GSB26-7012. Before drying out the housing I did have a couple auto break activations and think this was to excessive water in the tail light housing.

While backing at low speed in a residential driveway, the vehicle struck a parked car causing significant damage. No ADAS safety systems activated: reverse automatic braking did not engage, no parking sensor warnings sounded, no audible or visual alerts occurred. The vehicle made no attempt to slow or stop despite approaching a large stationary obstacle. The vehicle has two open unrepaired recalls at the time of incident: Recall 25V488 (Electronic Brake Booster): EBB module may shut off unexpectedly during ADAS use. The EBB is integral to the electronic braking system ADAS relies on to autonomously apply brakes. If faulted, reverse automatic braking cannot engage regardless of sensor detection. Software fix was available but never applied. Ford documented 37 warranty claims and one crash before issuing this recall. Recall 25V863 (Integrated Park Module): May fail to lock into park. Remedy not yet available. The vehicle provided zero warning of degraded safety capability. No dashboard indicators or alerts that ADAS was unavailable. Multiple overlapping systems failed simultaneously suggesting cascading failure from the EBB fault or multiple independent defects. Ford SSMs 52161, 49767, and 50360 document known Lightning issues with inoperative park aid and reverse brake assist unavailability. The recall notice emphasizes brake pedal feel but does not clearly communicate that the defect can disable automatic emergency braking. Consumers may delay repair not realizing ADAS is compromised. Vehicle is available for inspection.

When in reverse the backup Camera Goes to a clear image then randomly goes from a Black screen to a Green Screen and then back to normal. During that whole process and chime goes off in the truck. A message is displayed on the dash but it disappears too fast. The dealership has been able to recreate the problem but unable to repair my truck because they can’t catch the truck doing that error while hooked up to their computer system. Happens about twice a week.

Contacted Denooyer Ford for service that was recommended. Same dealership I purchased the truck from. Service was able to schedule me within a week but recommended not driving the vehicle as it possibly didn't have working airbags. During service they corrected 2 other recalls on the vehicle and informed me that the air bag system warranty work would be 1-2 years on replacement parts. Dealer recommended not driving vehicle till proper replacement parts got installed to correct faulty air bag sensor in seat. Dealer told me that they don't have any rental vehicles in the meantime. 1-2 years of not driving a new vehicle is not acceptable.
