Price & value
We don't guess at prices. Get a real value for the exact truck from Kelley Blue Book, then see how the asking price compares.
Is it a good deal?
- Look up the truck on Kelley Blue Book. Choose its cab, trim, options, miles, condition and your ZIP code, and note the private party value (or the fair purchase price if you're buying from a dealer).
- Enter that value and the asking price below.
Enter both numbers to see the deal rating.
The rating only compares the two numbers you enter: within 5% of the value is a good deal, 5–15% under is a great deal, and more than 15% under is a buy-it-now price. Know Your Truck isn't affiliated with Kelley Blue Book. Rust, accident history, lifts and mods, and service records all change what a truck is worth, so always get a pre-purchase inspection.

2012 f150 3. 5L Ecoboost engine. Had the all too well known rattle at start up because of failed to ing components/timing chain stretched. Repair cost me 5k dollars and failed AGAIN after only 4000 miles. Got code for timing being over-retarded. Took to dealer that initially did the job. Were supposed to repair at no cost to me, in my opinion anyway. Then they send me a video and tell me something else with the timing was the issue. When I called back to confirm, the story changed again that they never replaced the current failed part in the first place. All these engines have the same problem spanning numerous years and not my truck is being held hostage because they want another 15,000 from me for a new engine! 20,000 for a remanufactured engine is crazy! Please help owners and investigate this issue with Ford Ecoboost engines!

I started getting a notification on my dash about a issue with the charging system. I checked system and it is fine. Now I am getting other lights on my dash and head lights flashing. Come to find out, it's a bad Body control module. I also have a steering issue, from time to time the truck is hard to steer and I been told it's signs of a bad rack and pinion. I also have had the same issues with my 2011 F-150. The bad body control module I fixed but the steering if bad. I have read on Ford forums that others across the country are have the same issues but of course no recall.

This truck is a safety hazard! The waterpump had to be replaced due to overheating, plus numerous other engine issues. it only has 137,000 miles on it But the REAL safety hazard is the power steering goes out at random times. and when this happens the dash goes blank. This has happened 4 times and each time we were lucky it was not on a busy highway, and close to home. The mechanic did everything he knew to do, and when we got it back....It did it again!!! Now, supposedly it is fixed, and we drove it home with no issues.....but...again, they are random, and I am scared to drive the truck. Will it take someone getting killed for this recall to happen? I have seen numerous post about this happening to others. I live on a winding back road, and if the power steering went out, I dont think it would end well. We are thinking of selling it, but I cant in my heart sell it to someone knowing these issues, and if we trade at a dealership, they will find numerous problems and never give us what it is worth, even though these problems are not from neglect

After a mechanic checked it, the brake master cylinder and break booster failed to work properly they needed to be replaced. The master cylinder is leaking brake fluid into the brake booster. If this would have happened to me driving on freeway or on road I wouldn't had any breaks to stop. My truck has been taken to Ford dealership they are fixing the problem.

Three of my four doors sporadically fail to close and latch. When I open the door the latch does not fully open, so when I try to close the door the latch prevents it from closing. Maybe it is just normal wear and tear, but I understand there was a recall for something with latches on this era of f-150s, and my VIN is not part of that. I'm reporting this in case it's useful information and in case it indicates the recall should be expanded. So far I have been able to use a screwdriver to push the latch open, and the door will close and latch after that. I can not replicate this consistently.

Today, My 2012 Ford F150 would crank, but would never start. The vehicle had gas and no issues with the battery. When this occurred today, I found out online that the 2009-2014 Ford F150s have a common issue associated with Fuse 27. In 2015, Ford issued a Technical Service Bulletin (TSB 15-0137) related to this issue, but according to Ford’s Customer Service I was never informed of this TSB because it did not include my truck’s VIN number. None the less it appears to be the same issue as noted in that TSB. After the truck wouldn’t start today, I inspected the Engine Compartment Fuse box. It appears the Fuse 27 which provides power to the Fuel Pump has a commonly known issue of burning up. For my instance today this did appear to be the problem. Fuse 27 was completely burned up on the side of the fuse closest to the engine. Fortunately, I was parked in this instance and my safety or the safety of others was not put at risk, but my big concern is if the fuse were to go out while driving down the road or highway. The sudden loss of fuel due to this common electrical issue could have greatly put my safety and the safety of others at risk. The only warning message that I noticed prior to this issue was a battery warning, but when the vehicle was taken by an auto parts store to pull the code and check the battery, there was not issue with the battery. Note: The battery was replace 5 months ago. I believe this common issue that I and other Ford F150 owners have experience should be investigated further by the NHTSA to keep myself and others safe when driving or traveling in a 2012 Ford F150 to avoid the sudden loss of fuel to the engine that could result in significant injury or death.

This is a follow up to a complaint I made on 7-25-2022. Ref# 114-75779. My truck will not start sometimes or it will just shut off while driving. I have searched online and found that the fuel pump fuse in the distribution box is being burned. I have had it checked by two Ford mechanics and they both have confirmed that is the issue. My truck has just shut off 4 times in the last two weeks while driving without warning. The first time was July 22, the next was July 24, 2022. I've been very fortunate to avoid an accident so far. When this happens, I have to replace the fuse before it will restart, so I'm having to keep a pack of fuses with me at all times. The earliest any dealer close can repair it is August 12. This SHOULD be a safety recall with the vehicle just shutting off with no warning at all. Ford makes the fuse relocation kit to fix this issue, so it us a known problem. I'm very concerned as to why this hasn't been a safety recall, seeing the symptoms that are listed in the fuse relocation kit sold by Ford. Today, August 02, my truck shut off twice while driving in traffic and the fuel pump fuse slot was very hot and smoking. I replaced the fuse so I could get it out of the roadway and not cause an accident.

Whether or not the title is salvaged it is their responsibility to fix the issue so that other drivers myself and my family are safe . I’m really upset simply because they just want to charge for these recall services when it is there obligation to fix for all involved safety.Im addition this vehicle has a airbag recall of which they also refused to fix so if I’m driving this airbag can deploy and who knows what damage can be be done not only to myself on the road but others as well .

I had just purchased this well-used 2012 F150XL [XXX] ) because well into retirement at [XXX] and officially handicapped, it was all I could afford and had to get a personal loan for it anyway. First thing was a Lake Keowee Ford (REFLASH RECALL) which was performed and within a few days, everything electrical stopped and the battery started draining overnight over and over. The truck would not start, the column shifter was locked in Park and I could not even push it clear of a carport for a tow truck. With endless research, I find that this Shift Interlock failure is very, very common on these trucks of all related years and mileages. Below is a quote from a site: According to a survey, more than 75000 complaints reported against this problem across the USA in the last 15 to 17 years. In addition, it has affected the reliability of these F150 models due to sudden column shifter failure with minor internal damage. In my case, the Horn stopped working, the seats no longer adjust, the truck is in Limp Mode only and the steering is now only manual. It is a danger to drive, yet Lake Keowee is too busy to return my calls and chat efforts, a local repair facility charged $800 to NOT fix it and refuse to look at it again for “maybe” two weeks” As said, I am disabled and a lifelong type one Diabetic so very brittle. I require a means of transportation, yet no one cares enough to offer / or knows how to fix it. This is a known problem that Ford has gotten away with for decades now and an official Recall on the Shift Interlock needs to be fixed. The ball is in your court now. The rear-window defroster over heated on the passenger side causing that window to chatter. At one spot at the bottom, the rubber frame around the glass started to melt and burn just before the window chattered. If I had not been standing close to see what was happening, and turn the control off, I believe this could have started a fire that could have burned the entire truck and areas around it threating people and property. This is also a safety concern for anyone sitting in the back seat at the time of window chattering, as small shards of glass could hit passengers possibly causing eye and other injuries. Due to my incident, I did research on YouTube an other Ford forums that document many others being a victim of this same problem over several years including 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016 and maybe more. Owners over the years have documented and informed Ford about this problem, apparently without any trucks being recalled or getting much help from Ford about this problem. Ford and NHTSA should be concerned and Ford held accountable for this defect. Many owners were told buy the service men that replaced their back glass because of this issue, that this was quote a "common problem caused by the defroster" on this trucks. If there are "safety concern" that yell "RECALL!", this is for sure one of them.

There was frost on the rear window. While the car was in park and warming up I turned on the rear defroster. I started to smell a burning smell. There was a loud bang and back left window panel completely shattered. No one was injured thankfully, but if the glass would have blown out and we had our baby or passengers in the back there could have been injury. I am not only concerned about the glass shattering, but the fact that there was a burning smell. I have found several forums where people report the same issue across many years of F150s (2010-2019). Defroster is turned on and the back window shatters. I contacted Ford and they will not do anything because the vehicle is out of the warranty period. Sounds like there is something faulty that they need to fix or issue a recall. I reached out to my insurance company and after I get a few quotes I may file a claim depending on the replacement cost and my deductible amount. Only other "symptom" was the smell of burning right before the glass shattered.

VEHICLE ENGINE STALLED DRIVING AT HIGHWAY SPEED (70 MPH). ENGINE WENT INTO SAFE MODE. SIMILAR PROBLEM OCCURRED IN THE PAST (01/04/2013). REPAIR WAS PERFORMED UNDER TSB 13-8-1 AND PREVIOUSLY UNDER TSB12-10-19 (INCIDENT 01/04/2013). CORRECTIVE ACTION BOTH TIMES WAS TO INSTALL AIR DEFLECTOR PLATE AND REPLACE CATALYTIC CONVERTER FOR BOTH OCCURRENCES. FORD SAYS THE PROBLEM ONLY OCCURS ON THE 6 CYLINDER ECOBOOST ENGINE AFTER DRIVING EXTENDED DISTANCES AT PROLONGED HIGHWAY SPEED. IF I HAD BEEN TOWING MY RV TRAILER AT EITHER TIME, A SERIOUS ACCIDENT COULD HAVE OCCURRED. MY ISSUE IS THAT TWO TSB'S HAVE BEEN ISSUED BY FORD FOR THE SAME PROBLEM AND THE REQUIRED FIXES ARE IDENTICAL BUT NOT SURE IF THE VEHICLE IS SAFE TO DRIVE ANYMORE. I SUGGEST FORD ISSUE A RECALL FOR ALL ECOBOOST POWERED VEHICLES.

275/60/20 tire size. Driving home the other night started noticing my truck felt wobbly. Thought it was just the road until the truck started violently shaking at around 60mph. VIOLENTLY shaking. Pulled off immediately and looked at the front, sides, rear end, etc. Checked the tires, rear passenger side was stolen in 1 spot, and around that spot in a very isolated area the tire was completely bald and had a large lump in it. Other 3 tires seem ok right now. Contacted manufacturer who directed me to fill out a form on their website to "try for a replacement.". Can't find receipts from purchase so that's no good. Took to local mechanic/tire shop who stated that the "tread separated from the tire.". Separation is approximately 1 foot long and 2/3 of the tire width. Bald spot runs along this lump/separation.

THIS ISSUE CAN BE RESOLVED BUT IT SEEMS LIKE MY SERVICE ADVISORY DIDN'T TAKE THIS ISSUE SERIOUSLY.

20,484 MILES ON TRUCK. 10/18/15 RPM'S INCREASE BUT DOESNT SHIFT INTO NEXT GEAR. 10/19/15 ROADSIDE ASSISTANCE TOWED TO DEALER. DEALER FOUND NO CODE, SENT BACK TO ME. 11/17&11/22 DRIVER SEAT LOST MEMORY. 11/28/15 RPM REVED WHEN BRAKE WAS APPLIED RPM'S WERE STILL INCREASING. 12/2 BROUGHT TO DEALER NO CODE ON DIAGNOSIS, SENT OUT AGAIN WITHOUT TROUBLESHOOTING 20,900 MILES ON TRUCK. 12/8/15 RPM'S REVED DIDNT GO INTO GEAR. 12/8/15 1HR AFTER PRIOR FAILURE, TRIED TO LEAVE DRIVEWAY AND 2 ATTEMPTS TO ENGAGE DRIVE IT WOULDNT MOVE PUT TRUCK IN REVERSE THEN PROCEEDED TO PUT IN DRIVE, STUCK IN 1ST GEAR FOR 2 BLKS. 12/10/15 MY 5YR OLD GRANDDAUGHTER AND I DROVE 4 BLOCKS BEFORE TRUCK SHIFTED TO 2ND GEAR. 12/11/15 TRUCK DID NOT SEEM TO BE RUNNING RIGHT HEARD A CLUNK UPON LEAVING PRK LOT GOT ACROSS 4 LANES OF TRAFFIC AND TRUCK FAILED TO SHIFT, WRENCH ON DASHED SHOWED AND WENT AWAY, DASH INFO HAD LINES ACROSS INSTEAD OF MPG AND AIR BAG LIGHT STAYED ON, DEALER WAS ON MY WAY, THIS TIME CODE SHOWED AND WAS THE TORQUE CONVERTER. I ENDED UP DRIVING THIS VEHICLE 500 MILES IWITH THE TORQUE CONVERTER FAILING HERE AND THERE UNTIL A CODE SHOWED. THIS CAUSED A VERY DANGEROUS CONDITION TO ALL ON THE ROAD AND MUCH UNNEEDED STRESS. I AM VERY CONCERNED WHAT OTHER COMPONENTS HAVE PREMATURE WEAR DUE TO CONTINUING TO DRIVE MY TRUCK IN THIS CONDITION. I PURCHASED AN EXTENDED VSC FROM DEALER BUT UNSURE WHAT IT COVERS SO FORD WILL NOT OFFER EXTENDED WARRENTY, ONLY OFFERING OIL CHANGES. I DO NOT WANT ANYONE TO GO THROUGH THIS SAME DANGEROUS SITUATION. PLEASE ACT ON THIS BEFORE DEATHS START OCCURING. AFTER READING UP ON THE TORQUE CONVERTER, THE SYMTOMS MY TRUCK EXPERIENCED WERE EXACT ALONG WITH THE TRUCK INCREASING RPM'S ALTHOUGH BRAKE WAS APPLIED. INSTINCT IS YOU DONT CONTINUE DRIVING A VECHILE THAT DOESNT SHIFT EVEN DUE TO LIKELYHOOD OF OTHER COMPONENTS FAILING AND DANGEROUS CONDITIONS IN TRAFFIC.

Safety belts have become locked & unusable after a collision. The seat belts on the driver and front passenger side will not pull out from the retracted position. Vehicle was inspected by State Farm Insurance & Caliber Collision, in connection with Boggus Ford Dealer, & all have determined that this is NOT collision related. This decision was made because the front passenger seat was unoccupied at the time of collision. Therefore I am reaching out to whoever will listen, this vehicle is no longer safe to drive as it apparently has a potential deadly defect.

Driving home at approx.50 mph my f-150 Ford downshifted into 1st gear for no reason? Locking up the rear tires and slamming me forward. I put in my vin number and found my truck is not part of Ford's recall for f 150's 2011 thru 2014. I don't know why it's not part of the recall ? The recall 19So7 describes what happened exactly. Ford said the Dealers fixed this by reprogramming the tcu or transmission control module. I believe there is damage to the transmission. I took it to Goode Ford in Burley,Idaho they said it has too many miles they would not even look at it ?
