Price & value
We don't guess at prices. Get a real value for the exact truck from Kelley Blue Book, then see how the asking price compares.
Is it a good deal?
- Look up the truck on Kelley Blue Book. Choose its cab, trim, options, miles, condition and your ZIP code, and note the private party value (or the fair purchase price if you're buying from a dealer).
- Enter that value and the asking price below.
Enter both numbers to see the deal rating.
The rating only compares the two numbers you enter: within 5% of the value is a good deal, 5–15% under is a great deal, and more than 15% under is a buy-it-now price. Know Your Truck isn't affiliated with Kelley Blue Book. Rust, accident history, lifts and mods, and service records all change what a truck is worth, so always get a pre-purchase inspection.

When I was driving the engine failed . I have a 2024 hybrid, they are fixing the engine and parts but my frustration is 2024 gas tundra had a recall on the engine and they got a whole new engine with extra warranty , and I'm the first hybrid to have engine fail and since they haven't put a recall out I only get 1 year warranty and they are just replacing the parts not the whole engine . I'm concerned it can happen again past the one year warranty . They need to put out a recall on the hybrids too

On XXX6, while driving on the highway at approximately 89 mph and 36,714 miles, the engine misfired and the vehicle began shaking. The check engine light started flashing and a "reduced power, visit dealer" message appeared, along with a loss of motive power. The vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer on XXX at 37,032 miles. The dealer's repair order documents stored diagnostic trouble codes for random misfires, and states that freeze frame data confirmed misfires on cylinders 3, 4 and 5 at 89 mph and 2700 rpm in direct injection mode. Despite this, the repair order was closed as "no issue found." No repair and no further diagnosis was performed. The dealer stated the condition could not be duplicated after driving the vehicle and idling it for about an hour. The vehicle is subject to an open safety recall for machining debris in the engine (NHTSA 25V767, manufacturer 25TB14), for which no remedy is available. The recall summary lists engine knocking, rough running, no-start and loss of motive power as symptoms, and instructs owners experiencing symptoms to contact their dealer. When contacted, the dealer stated the manufacturer is still developing a remedy and that the vehicle can either wait indefinitely or be picked up as is. The defect remains undiagnosed and unrepaired. The vehicle is available for inspection. The safety concern is a sudden loss of motive power at highway speed, which is the same risk identified in the manufacturer's own recall filing. No remedy has been made available more than ten months after the recall was filed. * 2024 Toyota Tundra Limited non hybrid TRD Off Road with 43k miles with catastrophic engine failure with no warning. Started as a very slight ticking sound while doing about 60 mph level to slightly downhill. * I could only hear it with very light throttle input (between 2 and 5%). Past 5% and at 0 pedal there was nothing. This went on for about 1 minute then it started to get significantly louder and more noticeable with throttle input and while starting to go uphill. * Shortly after it started catastrophically knocking with dash saying loss of power and oil pressure. * I get it stopped and it immediately shut down on its own. Due to very little warning I was forced to pull over on a right curve of a highway potentially putting my family and as well as passing traffic in danger. * Engine leaking oil. Couldn’t find anything obvious where the oil was coming from. After doing some research it seems like the front and main crank seals started leaking. More noticeable on the rear seal. This was a dangerous situation because oil was leaking on the hot exhaust and could have cased a fire on the side of a highway. * The Toyota dealer has possession of the vehicle for repairs. They have not stated if it is possible to be available for inspection. * The dealer has inspected the vehicle and is in the process of ordering a replacement engine.

Engine stalls or hesitates when taking off from a stop. When taking off from a stop the Truck will hesitate after the accelerator is pushed and not move forward. This hesitation causes me to push the accelerator more trying to get the Truck to move. When the truck does move it then lunges forward I assume because I continue to push the accelerator more trying to get the Truck to move. The engine in this Truck is also being recalled in Non Hybrid Models because they are seizing up. This is the exact same engine in the Hybrid and should be under the same recall for the engine seize defect.

I was driving when the car suddenly lost power and speed. The accelerator stopped working properly. Immediately, the check engine light came on for the first time on the instrument panel, along with the "Stop Parking" alert. I immediately called for a tow truck to take me to the nearest Toyota dealership.Toyota employees informed me that the transmission is damaged and needs to be replaced. I acknowledge that my 2024 Toyota Tundra has 100,000 miles.and that the factory warranty only covers up to 60,000 miles. But for such an expensive truck, it’s impossible for the transmissions to have a lifespan of only 100,000 miles.

While driving, the vehicle unexpectedly stalled and lost power. The vehicle was taken to an authorized dealership for diagnosis, where the same stalling condition was reproduced and confirmed during a dealer road test. The vehicle had to be towed back to the dealership, where the engine was found to be seized. The sudden loss of power while driving created a serious safety concern because the vehicle could become disabled without warning and lose motive power in traffic. The failure was confirmed by the authorized dealership, and the vehicle and engine were available for inspection during the repair process. There were no known warning lamps, diagnostic messages, or other clear advance warnings that would have allowed me to anticipate the engine failure before the vehicle stalled.

2 issues to report: 1. Truck has a pull to the right since new. Found the front strut springs installed wrong. Attached photos show 2024 tundras on the dealer (pink dot on drivers side, yellow dot on passenger side) lot vs. mine (pink dot on passengers side, yellow dot on drivers side). Dealer corrected. Following repairs, pull is much better, but still present. Over 20 alignments completed; 3 by toyota and 3 by 3rd party. Problem continues. I believe it is a manufacturing defect in the safety equipment, suspension, or bent frame. 2. Toyota recalled V35A engines through my manufactured date. Because mine is a hybrid, it was excluded. Crankshaft main bearings seize due to a defect. I am forced to drive a vehicle on public roads while toyota recognizes the issue.

It has been occurring ever since I purchased the truck in October 2023. I finally thought I should say something. Usually, the truck is at a complete stop. The truck can be warm or cold. As I press the accelerator down to move in the forward direction, there is a hesitation. No immediate acceleration. It lasts for at least one second before the acceleration begins. This can create a serious safety issue when there is cross traffic. Putting myself and passengers in possible danger of a collision. This occurs almost every time I drive the vehicle. When I had my truck in for a recall on 4/19/26, I asked a Toyota service manager if this is a common problem. He told me it is very common in the 2024 Toyota Tundra, with a V6 twin turbo. This leads me to believe that the Toyota Corporation is aware of the problem. As per the service manager, Toyota has not done anything about this issue and there isn’t a repair for it.

The brakes squeal when reversing and sometimes when you’re driving forward coming to a stop. It has done this since the day I picked it up at the dealership. The dealership says there’s no remedy for it yet. The next thing is the front fog lights also draw moisture just like the rear reverse lights. Dealership says there’s no remedy for it or fix for it. I’ve had to have the radiator replaced twice in this vehicle and it only has 44,000 miles on it. The dealership says it’s a factory defect. Not sure if that’s true or not. It was not covered under warranty so I had to spend $200 to use my extended warranty. I do not think that is right it should’ve been covered under the manufacturers warning, especially if it was a manufacturer defect. The last but most important thing is the lag when you give it gas. This happens from a complete stop or also like if you’re trying to accelerate to get on the highway you can press it nice and slow and it won’t takeoff or you can mash on it all the way to the floor and it still takes a few seconds and then kind of vibrates and pops like it’s trying to skip gears before it takes off and goes. Dealership also says there’s nothing wrong with it. I believe it is a factory defect or some kind of wiring problem. The reason why I think it is a computer or wiring issue is that if you put the vehicle in sport mode, it will not do it coming from a complete stop. It does do it when you’re getting on the highway even in sport mode. I am on a few Facebook forums and I see this problem where people report this problem all the time and ask how to fix it. I would like information on how to get Toyota to buy my vehicle back. These trucks have had so many issues with engine recalls, engine replacement, and other issues that are an actual safety concern and I do not feel like it is a safe vehicle to be traveling with my family. Apon recieving the truck back, with in 200 miles, I've had the same hesitation with the engines as I had just before the first engine failed. Took it by the dealer and no issues found. oil preasure stays up and temp normal. I've had many issue with throtle lag sence day one. The milage has stayed in the low 11 gpm when before i would get on average 14 to 16. Dealer stated toyota would make it right if the engine fails again. Very unhappy with Toyota as I feel they are just kicking the can down the road.

Front seat belt alarm randomly goes off indicating that the seatbelt is not buckled. This occurs randomly at times 3-5 time a day or days without incident. I feel my safety is at risk because the vehicle does sense that the driver or passenger is buckled. Does this have an impact on other safety features like the airbags deloying? If there are no direct safety impacts, there is also the impact of it distracting the driver and causing an accident. The problem is so random that the dealer has not reproduced it. However, I have video evidence of it occurring and Toyota still does nothing. Inspected only by Toyota during service. No- not regarding specifically this issue but the truck also has numerous other electronic glitches to say.

I am the owner of a 2024 Toyota Tundra. My vehicle is subject to open NHTSA Recall No. 25V-332, for which I received notification. It has now been over a year since this recall was issued, and no remedy has been made available to me. I have contacted my Toyota dealership and was told the remedy parts are not yet available' or 'no timeline could be provided. This unresolved recall leaves my vehicle in a condition that Toyota itself has identified as an unreasonable safety risk. The prolonged delay in providing a free remedy, as required under the National Traffic and Motor Vehicle Safety Act, is my basis for this complaint. I am requesting that NHTSA investigate Toyota's compliance with recall remedy timelines and follow up on the status of parts/software availability for this recall.

Subject: NHTSA Safety Complaint: Sudden Engine Seizure and Loss of Motive Power – 2024 Toyota Tundra (Recall 25V767 Alignment) To Whom It May Concern, I am writing to formally lodge a critical safety complaint regarding a life-threatening mechanical failure. On XXX, while driving at highway cruising speeds under normal operating conditions (no towing or payload), my vehicle suffered an abrupt, complete internal engine seizure and a total loss of motive power. Simultaneously, the instrument cluster displayed a "Pull over to level ground, oil hot" thermal alert, indicating an acute, systemic mechanical breakdown. This failure sequence directly aligns with NHTSA Recall 25V767 (Toyota Recall 25TA14 / 25TB14), which addresses permanent main bearing destruction caused by manufacturing debris left inside the V35A engine block. My local dealer, [XXX] Toyota, intends to process this repair under an extended warranty. I strongly reject this classification. Because this catastrophic failure perfectly matches the technical parameters and safety risks of an active federal campaign, it must be handled strictly under the purview of the federal recall framework. I request that NHTSA document this event to ensure Toyota is held accountable under its recall mandate. Vehicle: 2024 Toyota Tundra Double Cab | VIN: [XXX] | Mileage: ~19,200 No crash or injury has occurred. This report concerns an unresolved safety defect. My Tundra intermittently fails to accelerate when the gas pedal is pressed from a slow roll (3-18 mph). The engine revs but the vehicle does not move for 1-2+ seconds before the driveline abruptly engages. This occurs at intersections and during low-speed traffic transitions. It is worse on cold starts. I have experienced sudden unintended deceleration while attempting to enter traffic. This vehicle is covered under Safety Recall 25TA14 / NHTSA 26V320 ("Engine May Stall During Driving"). The TSB remedy was applied at my dealer on June 11, 2026. The remedy did not resolve the condition. I have OBD-II logs proving the defect persists post-remedy. Using Torque Pro at 10 Hz, I captured 55 instrumented hesitation events on June 11 alone -- 18 on the drive to the dealer before the TSB, and 37 after leaving. The worst single measurement shows a 1.7-second delay between pedal input and throttle blade response. My full dataset spans 131 events across multiple drives. Highway driving is completely normal throughout; the defect is exclusively a low-speed tip-in condition. The dealer has been unable to duplicate the condition across five repair order presentations since February 2025. The vehicle spent 105 days in dealer possession with no repair performed. I am reporting this as a failure of the Recall 25TA14 remedy on this specific VIN. Full OBD-II logs, GPS data, timestamped event charts, and all service records are available on request. My vehicle sustained a flat tire after driving. I was able to make it home safely. Vehicle was taken to dealer who found no evidence of a nail. This is the second incident. The first incident occurred while I was driving but thankfully I Was able to pull into a gas station. After research I found out that the tires on the new Toyota tundra have had weak side wall issues causing the tires the explode or wear out prematurely. I have tire warranty through Toyota. I believe Toyota offered this warranty due to their knowledge of the tires being defective. Other issues have been the wheel alignment and premature thread wear which is also a known problem with these vehicles.

NHTSA 26V-038 indicates potential issue with vehicles that may not meet the rear visibility requirements specified in FMVSS No. 111, paragraphs S6.2.1, which may increase the risk of a crash with a person during a backing event.. Recall Status indicates "Recall Incomplete, remedy not yet available". It has been over 30 days (1/23/26 to 3/19/26) since this safety recall was filed. This is the 3rd unresolved safety recall to date on this vehicle. This has been an unreasonably long time and Toyota should be compelled to initiate the remedy immediately and provide a detailed explanation as to why it is failing to meet its own code of conduct with respect to product safety and the law.

My 2024 Toyota Tundra 1794 Edition, VIN [XXX], is subject to Toyota Safety Recall 25TA06, Interim 25TB06, NHTSA Recall 25V322, concerning reverse lamps that may become inoperable. The recall was announced in May 2025, but a repair remedy has still not been made available for my vehicle. The truck is primarily used for family transportation, including trips and nighttime driving. I experienced a minor, low-speed property-damage incident while reversing in a poorly lit garage area. Visibility behind and beside the vehicle was limited, and the truck contacted a garage-door support column before the garage lighting came on. The incident caused minor cosmetic side damage. There were no injuries, no structural damage, no police report, and no insurance claim. I previously advised Toyota that I had experienced an issue related to the recall. Toyota opened Customer Experience Case [XXX]. Toyota offered to keep my truck at a dealership indefinitely and provide alternate transportation until a remedy became available, but it could not guarantee a comparable Tundra 1794 or provide an estimated repair date. Toyota later opened repurchase review Case [XXX]. Exiting [XXX] westbound at [XXX] , I merged into the far right lane at the second light for a right turn. A vehicle was stopped ahead at the light. Traveling 15-20 mph, I applied the brake for controlled deceleration. Right foot squarely on brake, not touching accelerator. Vehicle did not decelerate as expected. For 3-4 seconds the brake felt unresponsive — pedal felt soft and loose, lacking normal firmness. I pressed the brake fully to the floor. A dashboard warning appeared: “gas and brake pedals are being pressed simultaneously.” I was not, and had not been, touching the accelerator. I then heard engine RPM increase audibly, consistent with an acceleration command, while my foot remained fully on the brake. I felt forward thrust working against my braking. The warning cleared and brakes engaged. Vehicle stopped approximately half a car length from the vehicle ahead, narrowly avoiding rear-end collision. Automatic Emergency Braking did NOT engage despite conditions clearly meeting its criteria — stationary vehicle directly ahead, my vehicle approaching at 15-20 mph with no observable deceleration for 3-4 seconds. No collision warning sounded; no auto-braking intervened. Notably, this same AEB has previously engaged falsely in benign situations (e.g., backing near low vegetation), suggesting reliability/calibration issues. approaching a round about at a slow rate of speed, prior to entering I noticed there was time to safely enter the round about ahead of a car also entering the roundabout from another direction. I pushed the accelerator pedal to about 30% at the time I choose to enter the traffic circle and attempted to enter. The truck did nothing in response except keep rolling forward due to the momentum I already had while approaching the round about / traffic circle. After about 2 seconds, I pressed the pedal to about 70%. This still did nothing for about another 1 second, before the truck accelerated as if I had pressed the pedal to 70% from a stop. fast acceleration into the round about which caused a narrow miss between me and the original car mentioned that was also entering the traffic circle.

Very commonly when the truck is “cold” after sitting overnight, the truck fails to accelerate from a stop while pushing the accelerator pedal down gradually (such as when leaving a stop sign at an intersection. This lack of acceleration makes me feel a loss of control as I cannot get the truck to accelerate. For example, driving out of my neighborhood into oncoming road traffic I feel as if the truck doesn’t sense my pedal input. The truck just “floats” for at least a few seconds before the pedal reaches a point where the truck recognizes the input and activates acceleration. I can see this situation causing a safety hazard such as when trying to gain speed from a stop. The dealerships says it’s a non-issue and normal for a turbo-charged engine. I have owned cars with turbo-charged engines and have never experienced this bad of lag before. I don’t feel this is normal. My truck currently has no engine issues and is maintained routinely.

I am an automotive engineer. I have been involved with vehicle development programs in the disabled vehicle conversion community for over two decades and have numerous patents in that space. I have been involved with vehicle testing and calibration as well. My vehicle demonstrates a SIGNIFICANT HESITATION when the accelerator is pressed that is not consistent. I live in a roundabout dense location where timing an entry into a roundabout is easy using a normal vehicle. The 1 to 2 second hesitation where there is throttle input and no action at all from the vehicle (engine does not rev, no motive power observed) is very dangerous. I took this up with Toyota and my vehicle was checked out and "learning transmission" memory was wiped clean with me being the only driver was the remedy. The issue got better for a short time but is back and this morning I pulled out thinking there was plenty of time in front of a bus a good distance away and the lack of motive power for a full second or two resulted in a near miss. This vehicle has about 20,000 miles and was purchased by me new. There are NO WARNING LAMPS, and no DTCs thrown when this happens. I have seen several videos where people cite the same experience and a website where there is a class action lawsuit in place regarding this issue. This is completely separate from the engine recall issue. I feel as though this issue is a significant safety risk.

While traveling on US Highway 95 between Lewiston and Riggins, Idaho, a 2024 Toyota Tundra TRD Pro with approximately 18,000 miles experienced a sudden loss of engine power while descending a mountain grade with multiple curves. The driver reported hearing abnormal engine noises immediately before the loss of power. At the same time, the brake pedal became extremely hard to depress and the vehicle did not decelerate as expected, requiring substantially increased braking effort. The vehicle was carrying family members and was traveling on a winding downhill section of highway adjacent to steep terrain. Due to the loss of power and increased braking effort, the occupants feared the vehicle would be unable to stop safely. Fortunately, a roadside pullout area was available, and the driver was able to steer the vehicle into the pullout and bring it to a stop without a collision. The vehicle was towed to an authorized Toyota dealership for inspection. The dealership diagnosed the vehicle with a catastrophic engine failure requiring engine replacement. The failed engine remains in the possession of the dealership and should be available for inspection. Approximately five days before this incident, the vehicle had undergone routine maintenance, including an oil change and inspection at a Toyota dealership. The vehicle had also previously been presented for brake pulsation concerns and other drivability-related complaints. The vehicle was returned to service and represented as operating normally. No collision occurred and no physical injuries were reported; however, the incident created a significant safety risk because the loss of engine power occurred while descending a mountain highway and the driver experienced substantially increased braking effort while attempting to stop the vehicle.

In the 2024 tundra if there is a camera misalignment for the 360 degree cameras or reverse cameras. It sets off a code that makes the trailer brake say disconnected even when connected. I took the vehicle in and had the cameras recalibrated then the brake worked. On my last trip pulling a 4,000 lb trailer the cameras came out of alignment so my trailer brake stoped working mid trip. This is a safety issue that can cause a accident.

I have had an issue several times which nearly resulted in a traffic accident. The truck has a sudden loss of acceleration where the gas pedal is completely dead. It last a few seconds and then goes back to normal. This has nearly caused several accidents where I could not properly accelerate while traffic was heading in my direction. After talking with other Tundra owners, I am not the only one with this issue. This needs immediate attention. If it is not fixed as soon as possible, I fear that someone will get seriously injured or killed. Please take this matter seriously. I suspect it may have something to do with the pre collision sensor system on the truck. It seems that it happens when there is a slight grade or dip in the road. Perhaps the sensors are at a lower angle due to the dip, making it think there is an object it will hit. The Toyota service centers don’t appear to know why this is happening and cannot reproduce the issue in a short visit.

The lens on the forward facing camera in the front grill cracked making the camera useless and in need of replacement. I first noticed the problem about a year ago. It is available for inspection. I can't see any damage around the camera that would have been caused by an object hitting the front of the truck which leads me to believe that the camera lens cracked because of a defect. The camera has not been inspected by the dealer however I have gotten a replacement estimate at the dealer.

On Saturday, XXX, while driving on [XXX] toward [XXX], our 2024 Toyota Tundra (VIN: [XXX]) lost power and stalled at highway speeds with the warning: "Ignition On / Engine Off – Stop in a safe place." I made an emergency lane change with 6 vehicles trailing closely. After smoke expelled during restart attempts, Toyota Roadside towed the truck to Goldsboro Toyota at 5:15 PM. On Monday,XXX, Goldsboro Toyota exhibited negligent, misleading treatment. A receptionist falsely claimed they "ordered a new engine" for the recall and refused to release the truck to Midlands Toyota near our home in [XXX]. Despite written instructions on the intake form, we waited 7 hours with no update. On Friday, XXX, Toyota Corporate contradicted the dealer, confirming no technical remedy or engine currently exists for active federal Safety Recall 25TA14 (NHTSA [XXX]). This catastrophic engine failure created an extreme safety hazard that severely triggered my wife’s diagnosed ADHD and depression (Eggshell Plaintiff Doctrine). The dealer’s refusal to release our truck also disrupted my work during a critical corporate shareholder transition. 2024 Toyota Tundra experienced a serious safety event. While travelling on the highway at 60mph speeds in traffic when the truck suddenly blinked a loss of steering warning light then immediately blinked engine failure warning light. The truck lost power and the engine completely shut down in traffic going down a long, steep hill. I was able to reach the bottom and pull over but the truck would not restart. I had to have the truck towed to a Toyota dealership near my home.

I am the original owner of a brand new 2024 Toyota Tundra TRD Pro, and this issue began within the first 15,000 miles of regular dealer-maintained use. At approximately 14,800 miles, I noticed unusual and rapid outer shoulder wear on all four OEM Falken Wildpeak A/T3W 285/65R18 tires. A professional alignment inspection performed by Toyota Carlsbad dealership confirmed that the factory-set front toe angle was significantly out of Toyota’s specification (left front toe: +0.30°, right front: +0.10°, total front toe: +0.39°). This incorrect alignment was present from the factory and caused tire damage before any corrections were made. These settings match exactly what is described in Toyota Limited Service Campaign 24TD01, which applies to 2022–2023 Tundra models. However, my 2024 vehicle is not included, even though the defect and symptoms are identical. The alignment defect was confirmed and corrected by the dealership, but Toyota refused to replace the damaged tires, stating it is not a warrantable condition. However, this wear was directly caused by the misalignment on a new, factory-spec vehicle, maintained per Toyota guidelines. This condition presents a clear safety risk, as premature outer tire wear significantly reduces traction, affects handling, and increases stopping distance—especially in wet or emergency conditions. There were no warning lights or messages, making the condition undetectable until visible tire damage occurred. I filed a formal complaint with Toyota USA, but they declined further assistance. I respectfully request that NHTSA investigate whether Toyota should expand Campaign 24TD01 to include 2024 models with the same alignment-related defect. The tires are available for inspection. I have supporting documentation including alignment reports, photos of tire wear, and communications with Toyota regarding this case #.

I am experiencing premature and uneven tire wear on my 2024 Toyota Tundra, specifically on the outer edges of the front tires. This has occurred despite proper rotation and no off-road use, the tires showed significant edge wear. Multiple alignment checks revealed improper front end camber and Toe settings, which appear to be part of a wider issue affecting many 2022-2024 Tundra's, especially 4WD models. Toyota has not issued a recall but has quietly revised alignment specifications at the dealer level to address the problem. This defect compromises tire life, vehicle handling, and potentially safety. I believe this issue should be formally investigated and addressed by the NHTSA.

This Toyota Tundra, equipped with the specially designed air bag rear suspension, for towing, is incapable of towing anything on U.S. roads, particularly U.S, Interstates crossing our country... where a very large portion of these interstates are rutted, like a washboard, caused by over-weight trucks and the weather... and these rutted or rippled interstate roads last sometimes for hundreds of miles at a time... from western Ohio to Montana, easily 75% of the roads are in this condition. The truck is a complete hazard, and extremely dangerous to the driver and anyone else on the highway. It is dangerous to the highest degree and should not be allowed on any U.S. highway. The rear airbag suspension is controlled by a computer, this computer constantly levels the truck, and there is no way to over-ride this system/computer program. So, the truck is constantly trying to level itself. Note, this adaptive air-bag suspension is sold by Toyota as the ultimate towing machine, six years in Toyota design... yet, it is totally incapable of towing on U.S. highways, unless, of course, the roads are new and black top and totally smooth. So, this is what happens, every time the truck hits a bump, the computer tries to level the truck... when towing a trailer, in this case a 30 foot Airstream, the tounge weight is 950 pounds — so with every bump the tounge of the trailer slams down 950 pounds on the back of the truck, and the truck desperately tries to level itself. This creates some sort of synergistic response between the truck and the trailer, and the truck and the trailer start rocking back in forth in a very violent manner, and when you let off the gas and slow down, it becomes even more violent, and extremely difficult to keep on the road and in your lane... not to say, what it does to the driver, who is slammed around the cabin. This suspension was clearly designed on a computer, and never road-tested on U.S. highways and interstates in the north... It is a disaster.

2024 Toyota Tundra 4X4 SR5 CrewMax 6.5, VIN: [XXX] , 28,500 miles. Three distinct, worsening vibration issues affecting separate systems: 1 — Powertrain/Driveline: Significant vibration on initial acceleration, under tow load, and on inclines. Suspected driveshaft carrier bearing, U-joint, or engine main bearing failure. Recall 25V-767 (V35A engine bearing debris, 2022–2024 Tundra) — VIN recall status to be confirmed at [XXX] . Component available for inspection. 2 — Highway vibration 40–70 mph: Constant speed-dependent vibration in steering wheel, seat, and floor. Worsening and expanding in speed range over time. Impairs steering feedback — direct safety hazard at highway speed. Suspected wheel bearing or hub failure. No warning lamps present at any time. 3 — Braking: Violent vibration during heavy deceleration, downhill braking, and rapid stops. Severely impairs controlled stopping and risks loss of vehicle control. Consistent with rotor degradation per Toyota TSB (Nov. 2025, 2022–2026 Tundra). Repair history: OEM tires replaced at 20,000 miles — abnormal camber-induced outside shoulder wear. Toyota issued a Limited Service Campaign for this identical defect on 2022–2023 models but explicitly excluded 2024. All 4 tires replaced twice. Multiple alignments, balancings, and rotations performed at L&S Toyota, Beckley, WV (3+ dealer visits) and an independent tire chain (3+ visits). No resolution. Defect is mechanical, not tire-related. No DTCs or warning lights at any visit. Safety risk: Braking vibration risks loss of control on downgrades and emergency stops. Highway vibration impairs steering feedback over extended driving. Towing vibration creates trailer instability on public roads. Requesting NHTSA investigate and include 2024 Tundra in the existing Limited Service Campaign covering this known defect on prior model years. Both front tires have premature wear to the outer edge. Additionally, all four tires have warned to 3/32" with less than 30,000 miles on them. Vehicle has been serviced by Toyota every 5,000 miles. All components have been inspected and per Toyota the vehicle alignment is within spec per manufacture. That being the case, the tires shouldn't wear unless there is a manufacture defect. Toyota nor Falken wants to honor the warranty or take responsibility for the defect of the OEM equipment. Toyota has a TSB for the Tundra alignment with 18" tires but refuse to add trucks with the 20" tires. They keep pointing the finger at each other leaving the customer with zero resolution. Others have replaced the tires but having the same issue reoccur. This is a safety concern as premature wear can contribute to poor cornering in curves, turns, and handling in wet or icy conditions.

Complaint Against: Toyota Motor North America Category: Vehicle Warranty Obligations Toyota USA Case Number: [XXX] Dealer: Toyota Carlsbad Service Advisor: [name removed] Date Warranty Claim Submitted: [XXX] Date of Denial: [XXX] I am filing a complaint regarding Toyota’s denial of warranty coverage for premature tire wear on all four factory-installed Falken Wildpeak A/T3W 285/65R18 tires on my 2024 Toyota Tundra TRD Pro. By 15,000 miles, I observed outer edge wear — a typical symptom of incorrect factory alignment. Following the dealer’s recommendation, I performed an alignment, and all scheduled maintenance, including tire rotations, has been completed at authorized Toyota dealerships. On [XXX], I submitted a warranty claim at Toyota Carlsbad. Ken McDonald inspected the tires and took photos, but no diagnostic work was performed — no alignment check, no suspension inspection. A month later, Toyota USA denied the claim based solely on Ken McDonald’s verbal opinion that “the problem is with the tires,” without any technical evaluation or factual basis. This is unacceptable. My issue clearly matches Toyota Service Campaign 24TD01, which confirms that certain 2022–2024 Tundra models may experience premature outer edge tire wear due to factory misalignment. My vehicle fits this description exactly. Requested Resolution: Replacement of the damaged tires under warranty or fair compensation for the financial loss. Toyota’s response represents a failure to uphold warranty obligations, raises serious safety concerns, and violates consumer rights. I respectfully request that the Better Business Bureau help ensure this case is reviewed fairly. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

I am filing this complaint regarding a premature material failure on my 2024 Toyota Tundra. The factory-applied smoked overlay finish on the front grille is peeling and separating in large chunks, exposing the chrome underneath. This is occurring at approximately 46,000 miles and less than two years of ownership. This is not normal wear and tear, fading, or minor cosmetic deterioration. The finish is physically delaminating from the grille surface, which appears to indicate a defect in the manufacturing or application process of the factory-installed material. The vehicle has been properly maintained, has not been modified, and has not been subjected to misuse or environmental damage beyond normal driving conditions. Toyota and the dealership denied coverage, citing mileage limitations and categorizing the issue as cosmetic wear despite the obvious premature failure of the factory finish.

I can confirm there was no chip in sunpanel prior to this happening. This is a huge safety issue. If the cloth panel was pulled back exposing the glass into the vehicle we would have glass stuck or embedded in our heads and we could have caused a major accident. The loud noise sounded like a gun shot and the driver swerved the car and slammed on the breaks because the sound was so loud.

Toyota placed a tinted coating over its chrome on the platinum trim. The coating is pealing off. My vehicle is garaged and has 6,200 gentle miles on it. The coating appears to be bubbling, so there is an issue with it. When at the dealership getting the warranty claim addressed, I saw their own 'parts truck' of same year and trim as mine also was pealing and I pointed it out to them. Doing further research, I've seen multiple online forum images of others experiencing the issue. It appears Toyota's solution is to replace the grill/bumper chrome with the same material, so I fear it will only happen again. The fix is pending.

I promptly provided the requested documentation, but despite repeated telephone and email follow-ups, Toyota has not provided a meaningful review timeline, vehicle inspection date, or final determination. My primary complaint to NHTSA is the extended period without an available safety remedy and the continuing risk to owners operating affected vehicles. You can NOT continue to drive in even a minor downpour, safely. Those who insist on doing so WILL cause, or be involved in crashes. Having owned 4 generations of Toyota vehicles amounting to several models, this downgrade is really, very shocking. We have always found our Toyota's to meet or usually exceed safety features. There is NO WAY that they sincerely believed this was "okay" or were unaware. It exceeds "obvious" failure by quite a margin. They simply WILLFULLY ignored IT!

There were no vehicles ahead of us or in the oncoming lanes on the other side of the separated highway. No foreign debris was found in the truck and there was no other damage anywhere other than the obvious glass lying everywhere. I previously complained to the dealership during routine service that the sunroof made a rattling sound during light bumps. The routine service was completed and I was given the response of “our techs couldn’t reproduce the sound(s) so we can’t help with that today”. In reviewing with Falken, this is a common issues with Toyota and they are blaming the fact that Toyota sold the Tundra's out of alignment to customer, resulting in significant tire wear on outer edges and on flat surface tread of tires. I have again escalated this with Toyota but they will not take ownership and neither will Falken. I am at a loss and I cannot believe that a tire would already need to be replaced at such low mileage. This tire should not be put on anyone's vehicle if it cannot be verified as offering any kind of warranty, resulting in unsafe conditions.

GPS even when linked to my phone screen will black out but phone gps will still work. I have complained about this multiple times. Toyota did a factory reset on it and didn’t fix the issue took it back and a tech had to re-install program said the Infotainment center has a known issue where it forgets the program. I also informed Toyota about the engine seems to be really sluggish when at a complete stop and then start again taking a few seconds to go along with shifting hard from stop and go. Toyota did say they saw what I saw and this usually happens when people double foot pedals. I told them I don’t do that. I am frustrated and don’t know what to do I have a 72k truck that just turned 17k miles on it with a lot of issues what will I have to deal with down the road once the warranty is up? I love Toyota but this time seems like I got a lemon from Toyota with all the issues and continued rising issues.

Hit a deer going 53mph, and the air bags did not deploy. Truck dashboard said that air bags were deploying, and then that they had deployed, but the air bags never deployed. The emergency braking and collision warning system all worked fine.

Prior to the oil change service, the front AC vents were functioning properly. Immediately after the dealership serviced the vehicle, the front vents stopped blowing air. This issue was not present before the visit. Regardless of whether the dealership believes an oil change “should not” affect the AC system, the fact remains that the problem arose directly after the vehicle was in their possession. (In 93 degree weather) Diagnosis determined that the AC front air outlet servo motor was stuck off and that the AC blender box would have to be replaced to remedy the issue.

Vehicle was turned off and driver exited with key remaining inside of vehicle. Returned to vehicle to remove items from interior. The driver's door locked and was unable to unlock using its proximity sensor. I attempt to the Toyota digital key. The app alerted me that the unlock feature was not available at this time. Walked around the passenger door to find it to be unlocked. Tried to use the electronic door lock feature, it still would not unlock the drivers door. I had to crawl through over the passenger seat to the drivers door to manually unlock the door.
