Price & value

We don't guess at prices. Get a real value for the exact truck from Kelley Blue Book, then see how the asking price compares.

Is it a good deal?

  1. Look up the truck on Kelley Blue Book. Choose its cab, trim, options, miles, condition and your ZIP code, and note the private party value (or the fair purchase price if you're buying from a dealer).
  2. Enter that value and the asking price below.
Check value on Kelley Blue Book ↗

Enter both numbers to see the deal rating.

The rating only compares the two numbers you enter: within 5% of the value is a good deal, 5–15% under is a great deal, and more than 15% under is a buy-it-now price. Know Your Truck isn't affiliated with Kelley Blue Book. Rust, accident history, lifts and mods, and service records all change what a truck is worth, so always get a pre-purchase inspection.

      1. The secondary air injection valve and/or air injection pump. 2. Sometimes the vehicle will go into "limp" mode and only go 35 mph. If the switch valve is stuck "closed" like mine, the car may not be able to dilute the exhaust fumes and the fumes and travel into the cabin of the vehicle. 3. Yes, check engine light code was read as P2441. 4. No, the vehicle can not be driven at this time. 5. No, and around July 24th the check engine light came on. The symptoms continued to get worse. In short, Toyota has issued extended warranties and reimbursements for this design flaw for Tunda's 2007-2010. The design flaw being the air pumps allow water and debris to be sent into the air injection valves. My truck being a 2011 was never alerted to this issue or covered due to the year of my vehicle. The issue is my truck is the SAME generation truck as the 2007-2010 trucks. Which means I too have the design flaw as well but Toyota is refusing to fix their mistakes. After further inspection of my truck, see attached pictures, there is obvious water in the valve system and it has been rusted as well (unable to clean it). My issue is Toyota only covering half of the generational years for a design flaw that is also in the other half. These repairs can range from $2k-$4k and it seems as Toyota only made the extension to the most relevant truck years at the time and left everyone else behind. It is very distributing that a large manufacturer would cut corners like this, for a flaw that was their design.

Horn stopped working right after I bought this truck from a dealer. I did some research on why it stopped. I was told and also read that it was the air bag clock spring. This controls the air bags and horn and other components. What it is the clock spring was installed by Toyota that had a bad spot on it. This causes the wiring harness to start rubbing and cutting into the wires. Would cause the horn to stop working and the air bags not to work and other things that is wired to this harness also. This should be a safety concern, and Toyota needs to recall to fix. Read that the 2011 Toyota's was bad for doing this. Costing the customer about $800.00 to fix. I have the truck about 3 months. Might be the reason it was traded in. Works some times and doesn't work. I am worried the air bags will deploy if not fixed. Please check into this. I would like to know what you find out before I spend the money to get it fixed On Social Security and don't have that much money in hand to have fixed.

On 11/25/22 I meet with American Auto Mall to buy a used truck I was assured through text, website and window sticker that the truck was in excellent condition inside and out.. I have all this documents proofing this.. I did van limited inspection at the lot and a test drive.. found nothing that stuck out.. other than the radio not working but the dealership said he would reimburse me if I got it fixed..so after that a down payment was made of $5550 dollars and paperwork was signed.. I drove the truck home and the next week I got in it and it wouldn't start, turns out it needed a battery and alternator, so I took it to a shop and was told that this vehicle was badly rusted and had a lot of hidden rust damage.. and improperly installed brakes., coolant leaks and exhaust leaks.. after finding this out I tried to call the dealership and he hasn't been replying.. I was also told this truck wouldn't pass a legal VA inspection.. so the current one was fraudulent I have all documents that support my case. I will like to turn this vehicle back in and given a full refund

I PUT VEHICLE IN PARK AND GOT OUT TO CLOSE A GATE ON MY FARM PROPERTY. WHEN I REALIZED THE VEHICLE STARTED ROLLING BACKWARDS, I TRIED TO GET BACK IN TO STOP IT. THE DOOR KNOCKED ME DOWN AND PICK UP ALMOST RAN OVER ME. I DID A BACKWARDS SUMMERSALT TO GET OUT OF THE WAY OF ROLLING PICKUP. WHEN I WAS FINALLY ABLE TO GET UP AND GET TO PICK UP, IT HAD SLOWED DUE TO THE JACK KNIFING OF THE BALE BUGGY I WAS TOWING. PLASTIC AND RUBBER IN THE SHIFTER HAD TO BE PUSHED BACK INSIDE SHIFTER CASE BEFORE I COULD PUT BACK IN PARK POSITION. LATER THAT SAME DAY, I PUT IN PARK IN PARKING LOT AND IT JUMPED INTO REVERSE AGAIN. LUCKILY I WAS STILL IN VEHICLE. I BELIEVE THE PROBLEM IS IN THE SHIFTER CONSOLE BUT ACTUAL PROBLEM IS UNKNOWN. THIS HAS HAPPENED A TOTAL OF 4 TIMES. TWICE I WAS OUT OF VEHICLE. TWICE I WAS STILL IN DRIVERS SEAT. ONLY ONE TIME DID THIS PROBLEM RESULT IN INJURY.

I took my truck to the dealership of Toyota in Riverside, CA and the staff there told me there was no recall for my vehicle. Can you please verify if my vehicle is under warranty? I also went to the smog inspection and told them about my situation and they said my vehicle may not be under recall since sometimes certain vehicles under the same year are grouped together with a specific recall.

I have reached out to Toyota multiple times this month. I have severe rust developing und the bed of my truck where the bed bolts fasten the bed to the frame. After some research I have found where other tundra owners with the same year have similar issues. My fear is over time the bed is going to be unsecured from the chassis. Rust is bubbling the line-x up. I have never seen anything like this before. Toyota refuses to accept responsibility that they have a parts/material/metal issue for this year truck.

The truck bed unsafe to walk on has several soft spots almost broken through, gas tank holder rusted out- worry about gas tank dropping from frame, tow hitch and rear bumper rot etc. Side step fell off. Toyota has a Service Campaign and Warranty Enhancement Program for Tundra but not this year- built 9/2010 San Antonio but listed as 2011 model on VIN. The contact then noticed that there were four 3-inch holes located near the bed bolts of the vehicle due to corrosion. Additionally, the contact stated that the frame was corroded. The contact related the failure to TSB Number: [XXX]. The contact stated that he was an independent mechanic and had determined that the failure occurred because there was no underbody coating on the vehicle, which caused water to be trapped on the underbody. The local dealer was contacted, but no assistance was provided. Another dealer, Oakbrook Toyota (address removed), was notified of the failure and referred the contact to the NHTSA Hotline for assistance. The vehicle was not repaired. WHILE DRIVING TO WORK ONE MORNING, MY BRAKE PEDAL WENT DIRECTLY TO THE FLOOR WITH ALMOST NO STOPPING CAPABILITY. AFTER FINALLY GETTING THE VEHICLE TO STOP, THE PEDAL FELT NORMAL. THE NEXT DAY A SIMILAR SITUATION OCCURRED. SINCE THE OCCURRENCES WERE INCONSISTENT IN TIMING, SITUATION AND DRIVING CONDITIONS, IT WAS NOT EASY TO REPLICATE. UPON TAKING IT TO A LOCAL DEALERSHIP, THEY HAD THE SAME DIFFICULTY CAUSING IT TO HAPPEN. ALTHOUGH, ON THEIR "LAST" TRY, IT WENT TO THE FLOOR. LOCAL DEALERSHIP COULD NOT DIAGNOSE THE SPECIFIC ISSUE AND CALLED IN AN ENGINEER FROM TOYOTA. ULTIMATELY, SINCE THEY COULD NOT ISOLATE ONE SPECIFIC FAILURE, THEY DECIDED THAT THE *MAIN COMPONENTS OF BRAKE SYSTEM SHOULD BE REPLACED. *MAIN COMPONENTS INCLUDE MASTER CYLINDER, BRAKE BOOSTER AND ABS ACTUATOR. AS THE SERVICE TECHNICIAN INDICATED THAT THEY HAD SEEN SEVERAL OF THESE, I BEGAN A CASE WITH TOYOTA MOTORS USA TO TRY AND GET A CLEAR UNDERSTANDING WHETHER THEY THOUGHT THIS TO BE AN ISSUE. AFTER ALL, THIS VEHICLE IS MARKETED AS HAVING ONE OF THE MOST ROBUST BRAKE SYSTEMS IN ITS CLASS. TOYOTA MOTORS USA INDICATED IN EMAILS THAT THEY HAD NO INTEREST IN REVIEWING AND TOLD ME THAT AS THE CUSTOMER, I HAD EVERY RIGHT TO CHOOSE ANOTHER BRAND IF I DISAGREED WITH THEIR POSITION. SINCE BRAKES ARE AN ESSENTIAL SAFETY SYSTEM IN A VEHICLE, IT SHOULD BE A PRIMARY CONCERN TO THEM IN ORDER TO EVALUATE POTENTIAL FAILURES WHERE THE OUTCOME COULD BE FAR WORSE.

I BOUGHT A 2011 TOYOTA TUNDRA CREWMAX, THAT WAS LIFTED AND HAD DIFFERENT WHEELS AND TIRES PUT ON BY THE DEALERSHIP PRIOR TO ME PURCHASING THE TRUCK, AROUND OCTOBER OF 2011. I FOUND IT TO BE SLIGHTLY PULLING LEFT SO I THOUGHT IT NEEDED AN ALIGNMENT DONE SO CALL RUSSEL TOYOTA IN CATONSVILLE AND WAS TOLD TO DRIVE FOR AWHILE TO MAKE SURE AND ITS NOT THE ROADS. AT ABOUT 2000 MILE I CALL THE DEALERSHIP AGAIN AND MADE AN APPOINTMENT TO DROP OFF THE TRUCK. A WEEK LATER I DROPPED OFF THE TRUCK AT THE DEALERSHIP FOR AN ALIGNMENT AND METAL NOISE COMING FROM THE FRONT DRIVER WHEEL AREA AND WAS CALLED BACK LATER THAT DAY TO PICK IT UP AND BRING IT BACK WHEN THE WEATHER WAS NICER SO I PICKED UP THE TRUCK. I GOT BACK FROM VACATION AND DROPPED OFF THE TRUCK AT THE DEALERSHIP FOR ALIGNMENT, NOISE FROM THE FRONT DRIVERS WHEEL AREA, OIL CHANGE. I WAS TOLD IT WILL TAKE A DAY OR MORE. I WAS CALL BACK BY THE DEALERSHIP 4 DAYS LATER SAYING THE OIL CHANGE WAS DONE BUT THAT THE ALIGNMENT PROBLEM WAS MY FAULT BECAUSE THE COMPANY THAT LIFTED THE TRUCK SAW SCUFF MARKS ON THE TIRES FROM HITTING A CURB. MY SERVICE AGENT GOT THE COMPANY TO SAY THEY WOULD FIX THE ALIGNMENT. 3 DAYS LATER THE SERVICE AGENT FROM THE DEALERSHIP CALL ME AND SAID HE COULDN'T GET IN CONTACT WITH THE OTHER COMPANY BUT HE DID IT AT THE DEALERSHIP. THEY TOLD ME THEY COULD NOT DUPLICATE THE NOISE. I DROVE THE TRUCK AND THE ALIGNMENT WAS WORSE THAN BEFORE SO I CALL AND WAS TOLD TO BRING IT BACK AND LEAVE IT FOR A FEW DAYS. I WAS CONCERNED THAT THEY COULD NOT FIND THE NOISE SO I CHECKED THE FRONT WHEEL AREA OF MY TRUCK AND FOUND THAT THE STRUT WAS BROKEN SO I KIND OF FIGURE OUT IT WAS THE BROKEN STRUT THAT WAS MAKING MY TRUCK PULL THAT DIRECTION AND THE METAL NOISE WAS COMING FROM THERE. RUSSEL TOYOTA AND THE OTHER COMPANY IS TRYING NOT TO TAKE RESPONSIBILITY AND PUT THE BLAME ON ME AND I AM THE VICTIM. *KB

THIS TRUCK IS WIRED SO THE AMBER (PARKING LIGHT LENS) ARE ON WHEN THE ENGINE IS RUNNING SO TO THE POLICE IT IS THE SAME AS DRIVING WITH PARKING LIGHTS ON WHICH IS ILLEGAL UNDER CA VC 24800 AND MOST OTHER STATES. THIS MAKES MY VEHICLE ILLEGAL TO OPERATE AS WELL AS A SAFETY ISSUE BECAUSE PEOPLE DO NOT KNOW IF THE VEHICLE IS MOVING OR NOT (THE VERY REASON FOR PARKING LIGHTS). NO COUNTRY IN THE WORLD ALLOWS AMBER PARKING LENS TO BE USED AS DAYLIGHT RUNNING LIGHTS. THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE AND IT ALSO MAKES ME LIBEL TO GET STOPPED AND TICKETED EVERY TIME I DRIVE THIS VEHICLE IN THE DAYTIME. *JB

THE TUNDRA IS A 2011 AND THE REAR DRIVER SIDE WHEEL HAS BEEN THE ISSUE. I WAS ON A CITY STREET ABOUT 2AM WHEN A LOUD CRASH AND THUNDERING MADE DRIVING VERY HARD. THE REAR WHEEL HAD SHEARED OFF AND WAS PASSING ME BY AS I SLOWED DOWN SPARKS FLYING LIKE THE FOURTH OF JULY!! I HAD BEEN GOING 25 MILES AN HOUR IN A RESIDENTIAL SETTING. I HAD THE TRUCK TOWED TO THE DEALER WHOM AGREED THIS WAS AN OBSCURE OCCURRENCE, TO WHICH THEY WARRANTIED AND FIXED IT. THIS OCCURRED AT 250,000 MILES SO THAT SEEMED LIKE A SATISFACTORY ENDING! HOWEVER, AT 3500 MILES LATER GOING 70MPH DOWN INTERSTATE 20 AT 4 AM A HORRENDOUS CRASH ( NOISE) AND ALMOST FLIPPING THE SAME TIRE SHEARED AGAIN PASSING ME BY!! I WAS LUCKY THAT I DIDNT FLIP! TOYOTAS EXPLANTION... THEY COULDNT/WOULDNT PROVIDE ME ONE BUT DID FIX MY PROBLEM AS THE FRICTION SANDED DOWN INTO THE ROTOR AND SHOCK ABSORBER HANGER!! NOT SURE IF OTHER FOLKS HAVE HAD THIS EXPERIENCE?? I DID ENCOUTER ANOTHER FELLOW (MY SON) WHOM HAD THE SAME EXPERIENCE AT 250,000 MILES ON THE DRIVER SIDE REAR WITH A TOYOTA TUNDRA 2012 HE OWNED. THIS IS VERY DANGEROUS AND NEEDS TO BE ADDRESSED AS TO WHAT THE ROOT CAUSE IS!! I FELT LIKE TOYOTA TOOK CARE OF ME REPAIR WISE BUT NEVER GOT A STRAIGHT ANSWER FROM THEM ON THE CAUSE!! I WOULD APPRECIATE YOUR AGENCY AND ITS RESOURCES LOOKING INTO WHAT IS CAUSING THIS DANGEROUS CONDTION
