Price & value
We don't guess at prices. Get a real value for the exact truck from Kelley Blue Book, then see how the asking price compares.
Is it a good deal?
- Look up the truck on Kelley Blue Book. Choose its cab, trim, options, miles, condition and your ZIP code, and note the private party value (or the fair purchase price if you're buying from a dealer).
- Enter that value and the asking price below.
Enter both numbers to see the deal rating.
The rating only compares the two numbers you enter: within 5% of the value is a good deal, 5–15% under is a great deal, and more than 15% under is a buy-it-now price. The contact's husband owns a 2025 Chevrolet Colorado. The contact stated that after exiting a car wash tunnel and parking the vehicle on the side of the car wash building, the vehicle continued to roll forward at a high speed without warning. The contact used both feet and excessive force on the brake pedal to stop the vehicle; however, the vehicle continued to roll forward. The vehicle ran over the parking pillar and crashed into a brick column attached to the building. The vehicle continued to roll forward after the crash and eventually stopped once it rolled over the car wash road indentation. The contact reversed out of the car wash indentation and called her husband for assistance. After her husband arrived at the scene; the vehicle was driven to the residence without any further issues. The vehicle remained at the residence and was not yet diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, and the contact was provided a case number. The failure mileage was approximately 111,817.

At 6700 miles, the following warning lights came on: Service Trailer Brake Service ESC Service Brake Assist Adaptive Cruise control unavailable. I brought the truck to the dealer. They read the codes and found a service bulletin. “6721 found service bulletin for code C055F vehicle needs a master cylinder/booster/ebcm parts ordered” They told me it was safe to drive but I refused to drive given what I found online about this issues. The vehicle took a week to fix.

I was driving down a hill and hit my brakes and the pushed back against me and then went right to the floor with minimal braking. I got an error message on my dash that said “brake system failure- do not exceed 62 mph” Luckily it was early in the morning and nobody was in front of me. All of the lights were green and between the engine braking and the little brake power that I had I made it up the hill (about a mile) to the Chevy dealership. I got an error notification the day prior that said there was an electrical error and my check engine light came in. I drove straight to the dealership but they couldn’t do anything since it was 4:30 and later than work hours so they made me an appointment for the next day and let me go. They told me later that day that it was an issue with the master cylinder (which with some research I found that there is an active lawsuit against this issue) I was issued a loaner vehicle with a crack straight across the entire windshield (it was all they had available and I was told it would be “okay” so I’m fine with that)

On the day of purchase, while driving on a freeway, the vehicle would not accelerate. The RPM's went up, the engine revved, but the vehicle acted as if it was in neutral. These vehicles will not accelerate if they think the brake pedal is also being pressed. The brake was not being depressed. As I was pulling the vehicle to the side of the road, suddenly it allowed me to accelerate again, and I continued with no further issues. One week later, with fewer than 200 miles on the vehicle, upon starting the dashboard showed alerts to Service ESC, Service Brake Assist, Service Trailer Brake System. The ABS and Traction Control lights also came on. These are all systems designed to prevent loss of control, and all failed without warning. A dealer service center diagnosed this as a known problem with a faulty master cylinder, on several models built over a period of several months.

Any time the heated seats and or steering wheel heat are on the lights pulsate inside and outside the vehicle. I have complained to the dealership and Chevy. Neither one has any answers for this. Chevy admitted via email finally that it was an issue but they did not have a fix at this time and the vehicle was safe. I find this to be a safety issue due to the lights pulsating and that apparently it is pulling too much power somewhere. To me this could cause a fire. For the money I paid for a brand new vehicle you'd think they would be willing to figure this out quickly. I know of others who have this issue as well with the same response from Chevy. They apparently do not care about the safety of the people who purchase their vehicles.

The headlights flicker/pulse creating visibility issues at night. This occurs when the heated seats are activated. This is a safety concern for myself, passengers, other drivers, and pedestrians. Flickering lights can cause an accident due to poor visibility and the creating of false shadows. This would also hinder the ability to see pedestrians. The problem was reproduced at the local Chevrolet dealer, they said they would contact Chevrolet, at my insisting. Initially they told me I should replace the stock halogen light bulbs with aftermarket LED bulbs at my cost. They said it is extremely unlikely that GM will do anything to rectify the issue because from the design standpoint of the vehicle everything is operating within its standards on paper. The manufacturer has initiated a case. There are no warning lights of any kind. This is a 2025 with 2,300 miles.

The upper radiator hose on some huge percentage of these trucks fail (mine has failed at just over 5k miles). You can check the Colorado Chevy forum, youtube, etc., et al, and find plenty of instances where this has failed. As this is the cooling system, it can cause the engine to overheat and potentially ruin the engine. The flaw seems to be an engineering issue with the rubber seal they use (instead of a high quality o-ring) to seal the upper hose to the radiator. Additionally, since this can cause engine failure it should be addressed immediately. Instead, my local Chevy dealer, since its not a recall item, said they could schedule a time next week for me to LEAVE the truck and then they would get to it in 10-14 days. This is extremely unfair to the consumer who depends on these vehicles. This should absolutely be a recall item. You can find 1000's of examples online and if you can pull GM repair data, I'm sure you'll find 1000's more.

After the vehicle was parked and powered off for several hours, I started the truck and experienced an extreme and unexpected audio volume spike from the factory BOSE sound system. The startup sound and turn-signal chime played at an excessively loud level, far beyond normal operation. The sound was sudden and intense, causing immediate ear pain, ringing, and a headache. My dog, who was in the vehicle, became visibly distressed and shaken by the noise. This volume spike occurred before any media audio was playing and appears tied to the vehicle's startup and chime audio system, not user-adjustable radio volume. The turn-signal clicking remained extremely loud afterward, indicating the same audio channel was affected. The vehicle has been operating normally prior to this incident and had not been modified in any way. This occurred during normal use of a brand-new vehicle (purchased about a month ago) with no warning lamps/messages/ or other symptoms prior to the incident. The problem has been reproduced and was able to be recorded via phone video during a reproduction attempt to provide to dealer.

On [XXX] after only 400 miles on the odometer, I experienced complete transmission failure while on a highway and was nearly hit by the vehicle behind me, luckily that did not happen. On April 29th, a new replacement transmission was installed by the Chevy dealer, and now on [XXX] I had experienced a severe burning smell from under the hood of the vehicle accompanied with a grinding sound, which lead to me to take it back to the dealer. On 05/15/25, the customer care manager informed me that the new transmission from the factory has metal debris inside the pan, and the vehicle would again require a complete "tear down". This is very unsafe for major powertrain components from the GM factory to keep failing, another failed transmission on a brand new truck like this is very unsafe especially because I drive on major highways to commute for work and transport my young children. This is unsafe for the public and my family, GM needs to be held accountable, they also refuse to refund me my money back on this vehicle, and are disregarding Lemon Laws in NYS. On [XXX] at approximately [XXX{}, my new 2025 Chevy Colorado Trail Boss which I purchased from the dealer brand new on [XXX], experienced a sudden catastrophic transmission failure which led to myself nearly being severely injured/possibly killed while driving on a main road in New York; on the way to pick up my two small children. The vehicle while on a main road (state highway) with other vehicles traveling at speeds of 40mph or greater, experienced a sudden mechanical failure that resulted in a complete loss of acceleration, and my vehicle was nearly rear ended by high-speed oncoming traffic behind me. As a medical professional, this is extremely frightening, because a mechanical issue like this could have led to the significant traumatic injuries to myself, my children and others. Upon the vehicle coming to a complete stop in the middle of this main road/state highway, the vehicle was turned back on and then went into a "Limp Mode" and was able to slowly crawl to the dealership which it was purchased from nearby. Luckily with the limp mode and hazard lights, I was able to safely make it to the dealer service department. There was a check engine light that then appeared on the dashboard after the vehicle had come to complete stop on the road, there were no indicators or symptoms that were occurring prior to this event. The vehicle was inspected by the service department of the dealership on 04/15/25, with the result as per the service manager and general manager being a major Transmission component failing- (Valve Body Failure). The service manager and general manager did not tell me if they would send the defective part to the manufacturer for inspection, they seemed more focused on having me leave the dealership and being satisfied with a repaired defective un-safe vehicle. When I try to accelerate some times my truck doesn’t go. It’s like it’s not even in drive. The check engine light is on and the dealership that I bought it from told me just to drive it because they don’t have a loaner vehicle at this time. That it won’t hurt the vehicle to drive but it’s unsafe to drive. I step on the gas and it doesn’t go. I could be hit if I’m trying to move when in traffic. Also my truck only had 5200 miles on it when this started and I’ve only had it since 16 July 2025.

Subject: Urgent Safety and Usability Concern – 2025 Chevrolet Colorado Infotainment/Instrument Cluster Failure To Whom It May Concern, I own a new 2025 Chevrolet Colorado, purchased on June 23, 2025. Just four days later, on June 27, both the infotainment system and the digital instrument cluster went completely dark, rendering the vehicle unsafe and inoperable. It has only 78 miles on it. After researching the issue, I learned this is a known problem to GM and is addressed in Service Bulletin PIT6362 released on 2 April 2025. The bulletin advises dealers not to replace hardware components as the issue stems from a software anomaly. However, there is currently no estimated timeline for a resolution. This leaves me — and presumably many others — with a an expensive investment that cannot be safely driven. Dealer is picking up the vehicle Monday June 23 but I have low confidence they know what to do. This situation is unacceptable. A total loss of vehicle instrumentation and infotainment severely compromises safety, functionality, and trust in the Chevrolet brand. It is alarming that vehicles with such a critical defect were allowed to reach customers. I am requesting the following: Immediate acknowledgment and escalation of this case Clear explanation of how GM is addressing PIT6362 Temporary or permanent remedy to restore my vehicle’s functionality Compensation or alternative transportation options while the issue persists A case number and point of contact for follow-up My question is how GM can continue to sell these defective vehicles knowing someone could, quite literally, get killed.

My 2025 Chevrolet Colorado continues to experience roof denting caused by the vehicle’s structural weakness in the roof panel when exposed to normal car-wash air dryers. This problem began in 2023 with my previous model year Colorado, and it has carried into the 2025 model despite GM having issued an internal service advisory in 2023 describing the need to install additional roof braces to prevent this exact failure. GM acknowledged the issue two years ago but did not incorporate the recommended reinforcement into manufacturing. As a result, even routine exposure to the forced air from automated car-wash dryers causes the roof to bend inward. I have had this inspected multiple times, and the root cause has been consistently identified as inadequate roof support. The problem has not been corrected at the design or production level, and dealerships are not taking further action. The roof denting raises concerns about structural rigidity, potential weakening over time, and whether the roof would perform correctly in rollover or impact scenarios. This is an ongoing defect affecting normal use of the vehicle, with no resolution provided by GM despite documented awareness since 2023.

Cruise Control I was nearly in a severe accident because of the way Chevrolet Cruise control works when I was on the highway and traffic slowed down briefly and my vehicle continued to run at the set miles and didn't slow down when I was approaching the vehicle in front of me. When I purchased the vehicle (2025 Chev Colorado) I was not informed that 'Gap' detection does not work as it does in most other modern vehicles. This feature is only available in higher end vehicles in what they call Adapter Cruise Control. My pamphlet "Getting to know your 2025 Colorado explains how to use ACC with no mention it is an option only available on higher end vehicles. I consider it a safety hazard that Cruise Control in its normal setting does not use the Gap setting as most modern vehicles do making it a safety issue, especially when you have a 2nd vehicle that works this way automatically. It was only after 2 service visits that I was told that how it works and that even though it is an option, it is not something that Chevrolet can install in my vehicle. Making it even more confusing the 'GAP' setting is available on my steering wheel controls making the user think this option is actually available when, in fact it is not. I feel Chevrolet needs to fix this potential safety issue by making the Cruise control work in the same manner other manufactures have done for several years.
