  Risk: An improperly inflated air bag increases the risk of injury in a crash.

The affected vehicles may experience the front brake calipers leaking brake fluid. This is due to air pockets, an imperfection in the metal caliper body.

  Risk: If the vehicle experiences a brake fluid leak it can increase the stopping distance, increasing the risk of a vehicle crash.

  General Motors LLC (GM) is recalling certain model year 2015 Chevrolet Colorado and GMC Canyon trucks manufactured January 6, 2014, to April 1, 2015. In the affected vehicles, the hooks that secure the driver's and/or front passenger's seat frame may not have been properly attached to the vehicle body during assembly. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 207, "Seating Systems."

  Risk: If the seat-frame attachment hooks are not secured properly, the seat may not be adequately anchored to the vehicle, and in the event of a crash, the seat occupant could be at an increased risk of an injury.

  Fix: GM will notify owners, and dealers will inspect the seats, correcting their installation as necessary, free of charge. The recall began on June 2, 2015.   General Motors LLC (GM) is recalling certain model year 2015 Chevrolet Colorado vehicles manufactured September 15, 2014, to January 21, 2015, and 2015 GMC Canyon vehicles manufactured October 3, 2014, to December 9, 2014. The affected vehicles have a front driver air bag inflator that may be misaligned to the air bag module backplate. This can cause the inflator to separate from the backplate during a deployment.

  Risk: If the inflator separates from the back plate in the event of a crash necessitating deployment of the driver's frontal air bag, this may cause the air bag or steering wheel components to separate and be propelled into the interior compartment, potentially seriously injuring the driver or other occupants. Additionally, the air bag may fail to properly inflate, increasing the risk of injury to the driver.

  Fix: GM has notified owners, and dealers will inspect the driver air bag module inflator for proper alignment, replacing the air bag, as necessary, free of charge. The recall began March 19, 2015.   General Motors LLC (GM) is recalling certain model year 2015 Chevrolet Colorado and GMC Canyon vehicles manufactured January 6, 2014, to October 1, 2014. In the affected vehicles, the driver air bag connections may have been wired incorrectly. This could reverse the deployment sequence and disrupt the deployment timing of the driver air bag. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard No. 208, "Occupant Crash Protection."

  Risk: If the driver air bag does not deploy as designed, there is an increased risk of driver injury in the event of a crash necessitating air bag deployment.

  Fix: GM will notify owners, and dealers will reprogram the inflatable restraint sensing and diagnostic module (SDM), free of charge. The recall began on October 6, 2014.     The Electric Power Steering (EPS) system suddenly and completely malfunctions, causing an abrupt loss of power steering assist. The power steering assist cuts out unexpectedly while driving, making the steering wheel suddenly violent and extraordinarily heavy to turn. This creates an immediate risk of a crash, as navigating curves, intersections, or avoiding obstacles becomes nearly impossible without immense physical exertion.Has the problem been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center?No, a dealer has not confirmed it yet. Because the defect is highly sporadic, it has been difficult to time a service visit with the exact moment of failure.Has the vehicle or component been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives or others?No, it has not yet been inspected by any of these entities.Were there any warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure, and when did they first appear?When the failure occurs, a "Service Power Steering" message immediately appears on the dashboard alongside an audible warning chime. There are no advanced symptoms prior to the sudden failure. The issue is highly sporadic and can temporarily be reset by pulling over, turning the ignition completely off, and restarting the vehicle.Additional Notes / Summary:My vehicle is a 2015 Chevrolet Colorado. This identical defect is the subject of NHTSA Recall Campaign 21V213000 (GM Recall N202325410) for the exact same model year. However, when I run my VIN, the system states there are no open recalls for my truck. My VIN was clearly excluded from the manufacturing window of the original recall, yet I am experiencing the exact same dangerous, sporadic power steering dropouts described in that campaign. I request that NHTSA investigate an expansion of this recall to include my vehicle.

    Power steering goes out while driving down the road. Sometimes it works, then it doesnt, it is intermittent and I have to manually steer my vehicle when it goes out. Service power steering with care, and service stabilitrak pop up on the dash while driving. If i turn the truck off and turn it back on, sometimes that will allow the power steering to work again. I have not taken my vehicle to a dealer or service center and it has not been inspected by the manyfacturer.

    While driving my EPS steering stop working suddenly forcing me to the side of the road where I fortunately went in a large parking area. I had the truck towed. In 2021GM replaced the steering torque sensor cover as per the recall to protect the sensor. The steering torque sensor has now failed due to I believe water intrusion. GM has refused to honor any kind of reimbursement or wrong doing. Blamed faulty replacement parts.

    I am submitting this complaint regarding a serious safety defect involving my 2015 Chevrolet Colorado. While I was driving the vehicle, it suddenly lost power steering assist. The steering wheel immediately became extremely heavy and difficult to turn, requiring significantly more physical effort to control the vehicle. This sudden loss of steering assistance created a dangerous situation for me, my passengers, and other motorists. The failure occurred without warning and substantially affected my ability to safely steer and maneuver the vehicle. A sudden loss of power steering is particularly dangerous when making turns, maneuvering at low speeds, or attempting to avoid another vehicle or obstacle. What is especially concerning is that the failure experienced by my vehicle appears to match the defect described in General Motors Safety Recall N202325410, NHTSA Campaign 21V-213, concerning loss of power steering assist in certain 2015 Chevrolet Colorado and GMC Canyon vehicles. The NHTSA recall documentation states that affected vehicles may experience a loss of power steering assist while starting or driving because of a poor electrical connection within the steering gear assembly. The recall specifically explains that when power steering assist is lost, the vehicle reverts to manual steering and requires substantially greater steering effort, particularly at lower speeds. NHTSA and GM identified this condition as a safety defect because it can increase the risk of a crash. My vehicle experienced the same symptoms described in the recall: Sudden loss of power steering assistance while driving. The steering wheel became heavy and difficult to turn as the vehicle reverted to manual steering. A warning chime occurred. A warning message/malfunction indicator appeared on the dashboard. The loss of power steering made the vehicle substantially more difficult

    The contact owns a 2015 Chevrolet Colorado. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds, the Service Power Steering light would illuminate and the power steering would fail. The contact would have to pull to the side of the road, turn off the vehicle, and wait a while in order to reset the vehicle's computer system and re-activate the power steering. The traction control, stability, track, and service 4-Wheel Drive warning lights were illuminated as well. The vehicle was taken to 3 different certified mechanics, who were not able to diagnose and repair the vehicle. The steering wheel was recalibrated by a mechanic; however, the failure remained persistent. The manufacturer was informed, and it was confirmed that the VIN was not included in any recall. The failure mileage was 115,225.

    MY POWER STEERING WENT OUT ON A 45MPH TURN AND NEARLY LOST CONTROL OF MY TRUCK. I TOOK IT TO THE DEALER FOR THEM TO SAY THERE IS NO RECALLS ON IT. IF I WERE AN OLDER PERSON AND THIS HAPPENED TO THEM I'M SURE THEY WOULD OF LOST CONTROL BECAUSE I REALLY HAD TO PUT A LOT OF EFFORT TO GET MY TRUCK BACK ON THE ROAD. THIS IS DEFINITELY A SAFETY ISSUE AND IT SHOULD BE TAKEN CARE OF BY CHEVROLET.

    SERVICE POWER STEERING, DRIVE WITH CARE AND SERVICE STABILITY TRACK LIGHTS TURN ON DUE TO A DEFECTIVE STEERING GEARBOX ACCORDING TO THE DEALER SHOP. IT MAKES THE WHEEL TO BIND AND GETS HARD TO TURN. IT HAS HAPPENED DURING DRIVING (IN MOTION) IN THE MIDDLE OF THE STREETS, ALSO AT STOPS OR RELIGHTS WHEN FULLY STOPPED, AND ALSO WHILE IN "PARKING" (STATIONARY) AND WHILE TURNING. IT HAS NOT HAPPENED ON A HIGHWAY. EVERY TIME I TURNED THE CAR OFF AND LET IT SIT FOR SOME MINUTES AND TURNED THE CAR BACK ON THEN THE LIGHTS WOULD RESET BY THEMSELVES AND I WOULD BE ABLE TO DRIVE NORMALLY AGAIN, BUT THEN IT RANDOMLY WILL HAPPEN AGAIN AND AGAIN. FIRST TIME I TOOK IT THE DEALER THEY SAID THE ANGLE SENSOR NEEDED CALIBRATION AND THAT THE PROBLEM WAS FIXED WITH THAT, BUT THEN FEW DAYS LATER I EXPERIENCED THE SAME PROBLEM AND ON THE SECOND TIME I TOOK IT TO THE DEALER, THEY FOUND OUT IT WAS THE STEERING GEARBOX (PART # 84670808). I NOTICED THIS PROBLEM ALREADY HAS A RECALL. RECALL IS FOR 2015 COLORADO MANUFACTURED JANUARY 6, 2015 TO MARCH 17, 2015. MY VEHICLE FALLS INTO THIS CATEGORY BUT HASN'T BEEN RECALLED. THIS IS A SAFETY CONCERN, IT CAN CAUSE ACCIDENTS DUE NOT LACK OF CONTROL OF VEHICLE.

    The electric power steering assembly has failed. I will be driving and my power steering will cut out with no warning, the sensor light is on constantly. Turning it off will sometimes fix it but not for long. It will affect my cruise control at times as well

    Odometer Fraud. The contact purchased a 2015 Chevrolet Colorado. The contact stated that they discovered a mileage discrepancy after the purchase. The vehicle was a private sale. At the time of purchase, the vehicle mileage was 193,073. The contact began having unknown issues with the vehicle and obtained a Carfax report. The report indicated the vehicle was due for an oil change. The report indicated the mileage was 292,500. The Birmingham police department was contacted and referred him to the NHTSA hotline.

    Had safety recall for loss of power steering repair done in November of 2021. First incident: Leaving a grocery store parking lot, loss of power steering made the steering nearly impossible at low speeds. Message on display said to have steering serviced and dinged. Had a tow truck come and take it to the same dealership that did the repair. Low voltage code was reset, power steering was returned. Dealership wanted $2.3k to repair. Second incident: One month later, pulling out of my driveway when the same message displayed and the dash dinged. Had a tow truck take it to a different repair shop, same issue, same resolution. $2.4k repair. I declined both repairs.

    I’m having an issue with my power steering assist. It just goes out while I’m driving. I almost hit a telephone pole one day almost 2 cars two other times. It started about seven months ago when you pull over shut off the truck open the door to break continuity for the electrical system close the door and start it. It goes back to working normal. It’s gotta be part of the connections underneath the power steering assembly unit itself, but there is no recall for my specific Vin.

    Request to be added to any class action lawsuits with my Colorado Truck. Truck was purchased Jan 2015. On day one the truck had a shudder that was lite but noticeable, dealer said " this is normal and as the computer gets to understand your driving it will be less noticeable" I put up with until the transmission stopped working and had to replace the Torque Converter on Jan 2022 after to warranty ran out. $2788. The trunk still has a shudder issue...if the transmission temperature is less that 120 degrees the truck will shudder as your coming to a stop. Once the temperature is over 12 degrees the shudder stopes

    Since i've had my truck the passenger seat vibrates excessively while driving; the oil alert comes on even when there is oil, current oil change; seems to not have power, shifts hard. What's interesting is that these items come up when I searched on recalls. this truck is not driven hard... mehanic cant figure out what is causing the oil alert, the passenger seat shaking excessively.. and there is a recall on You Tube Truck was purchased in [XXX], 07/15 have lived in [XXX] since 11/15.     Engine Control module-PO442 leak detected and PO496 Evaporated Emission System Flow during non-purge. Also, Inflatable Restraint Sensing and Diagnostic Module -1.B1425-03 Control module power circuit. When we fill the gas tank it takes multiple times to start And Stalls While Driving, almost causing accidents. We have diagnostic report by Firestone, Advanced Auto. First believed gas cap problem when started 2020-2021?Problem has become more constant to point of us not being comfortable driving far for fear of accident or getting stuck somewhere.

    Temperature heater flap door, causes truck to go from normal temperature to red hot with boiling coolant in reservoir. Have spent thousands and thousands of dollars , on mechanics and parts! Replaced water pump , thermostat, lots of cooling and heater parts and components . No luck and still no good running car , missing work and spending money we don’t have I read online about other trucks my same year and model having a recall on a temperature door.     Lose his power steering while driving down the road. System says needs work on ABS when you hit a bump the radio changes itself. The anti-theft is on when key is in ignition and going down the road it's saying it's theft mode service engine light is on even after servicing the engine

    Onstar has a Knowingly ongoing problem with there installed service in the truck. The features such as remote start, lock ,unlock ,lights, phone, All there features. Onstar corporate knows about this and for over a year I am getting absolutely nowhere with them to fix the problem.

The contact stated that while driving on a service road at 35 MPH and attempting to bring the vehicle to a stop, the brake pedal was depressed; however, the brake pedal was extremely firm, requiring excessive force to depress for the vehicle to come to a stop. The contact stated that there was an abnormal amount of white smoke coming from the front end of the vehicle. There was no warning light illuminated.     The contact owns a 2015 Chevrolet Colorado. The contact stated while driving at an undisclosed speed, the brake pedal was depressed; however, the vehicle failed to stop as intended. The contact stated that the brake pedal was pushing his foot upwards. The contact had to step on the brake pedal very hard to stop the vehicle to prevent a crash. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed with a failed vacuum pump, vacuum sensor, and a fractured cam shaft. The contact was informed that the vacuum sensor and the vacuum pump needed to be replaced, and the cam shaft needed to be repaired. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and a case was filed. The failure mileage was approximately 156,000.

    The contact owns a 2015 Chevrolet Colorado. The contact stated that while driving approximately 38 mph and making a right turn into traffic the warning messages "brake assist, ABS, Stabilitrak, steering lost" had suddenly displayed and when pressing the brake pedal the vehicle did not stop and crashed into the rear of a second vehicle which crashed into the rear of a third vehicle. During the crash, the airbags did not deploy and the contact sustained an injured left shoulder which did not require medical treatment. The occupant of the second vehicle was treated for an injury but no information was available. A police report was taken at the scene and the vehicle was towed away. The local dealer and manufacturer were notified of the failure. The cause of the failure was not yet determined. The failure mileage was 97,153. Dealership did their own diagnostics and found the brake booster and vacuum to be faulty.

    I BOUGHT THE VEHICLE FOR MY SON. ON SEPTEMBER 13, THE POWER STEERING FAILED ON A TURN ON A CITY STREET, AND HE WAS UNABLE TO CONTROL THE VEHICLE AND HIT A PARKED CAR ON THE OPPOSITE SIDE OF THE STREET. THE INSURANCE COMPANY PAID FOR A PORTION OF OUR VEHICLE EXPENSE, BUT NOT THE ENTIRE NOTE WHICH INCLUDED TAXES, LICENSE, FEES, EXTENDED WARRANTY AND INTEREST.

Saw at dealership originally but no answer found till yesterday when it happened again. Dealer" internal fault with steering gear".

    Beginning in 2018, perhaps earlier, I noticed that often when I would press the accelerator all the way, the engine would (and still does) make a sound (I’ve since learned, through many dealership interactions and internet searches, that the sound is referred as pinging or knocking from pre-detonation), and it SEEMED that the car’s computer would (and still does) electronically back off the throttle, and the rpm’s reduced in terms of speed of acceleration (sometimes the rpm’s even DECREASED as opposed to merely increasing less rapidly). This has placed myself and passengers of the car in danger by causing the car to go through intersections significantly slower than I (as well as my mother who also occasionally drives the car) would naturally anticipate, as this slow crossing through the intersection has led to many close-calls when intersecting traffic (when they have the right-of-way) almost crash into the broad side of the truck. It USED to occur I would put in any fuel with an octane rating lower than 91, but now it even happens with 91 octane fuel. The problem has been reproduced by two Chevrolet dealerships. I have taken it in many times to have them repair/replace/service parts that I thought might be causing the problem. The shop foreman at one location replicated it and said he had no idea what the cause could be. The service dept. was then in back-and-forth contact with engineers at GM over the next couple of days, and the engineers eventually suggested an oil system flush thing (which ended up not helping). It’s had oil filter changes, fuel induction service, and basically everything short of replacing the injectors or pistons. Neither the vehicle nor its components have been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives or others. No warning lamps or messages have ever displayed in relation to the problem. My co-worker’s husband has a 2018 GMC Canyon with a V6, and says the exact same thing happens with his car.

    2005 CHEVY COLORADO RUSTED FRAME NEXT TO REAR CAB MOUNTS ON BOTH SIDES. FRAME IS CRACKING IN THIS LOCATION. THIS APPEARS TO BE THE RESULT OF RUSTING FROM THE INSIDE OUT BECAUSE THE REST OF FRAME LOOKS TO BE IN GOOD CONDITION. STILL HAS PAINT ON IT. BEFORE WE COULD TAKE IT IN FOR REPAIRS? THE INTERIOR LIGHTS WERE COMING ON AND OFF; DOOR ALARM GOING OFF; DOOR LOCKS MOVING UP AND DOWN WHEN THE TRUCK WAS IN MOTION. STOP SEVERAL TIMES TO TRY AND SECURS BACK RIGHT 1/2 DOOR! IT WOULD NOT SECURE IN THE BOTTOM STICKER! AFTER THE REPAIRS WERE MADE? WE NOTICE THAT WE DROVE THE TRUCK ALL THE HOME AND THE BACK RIGHT 1/2 DOOR WAS NOT SECURE IN THE STRIKER! NO ALARMS WENT OFF! NO MATTER HOW HARD YOU SHUT THE DOOR? IT IS STILL HARD TO SECURE INTO THE BOTTOM STRIKER! NO ALARM WILL SOUND TO LET US KNOW THAT THIS DOOR IS STILL OPEN! ON 01/25/2016 I REPORTED A BUZZING COMING FROM BEHIND THE RADIO! Also, Inflatable Restraint Sensing and Diagnostic Module -1.B1425-03 Control module power circuit. When we fill the gas tank it takes multiple times to start And Stalls While Driving, almost causing accidents. We have diagnostic report by Firestone, Advanced Auto. First believed gas cap problem when started 2020-2021?Problem has become more constant to point of us not being comfortable driving far for fear of accident or getting stuck somewhere.

    Just purchased vehicle in early March of this year(2022).Vehicle has low mileage for a 2015.But first problem is an air or evap problem that seems to be a large problem with other owners as well.Unable to fill vehicle with fuel pump nosil without it splashing out of vehicle.Came out on my shoe the first time!!You have to let it trickle into tank to get gas in it.Had it at dealer 2 weeks after i bought it to have a active un-related recall done,so I had them look into the filling problem.They replaced a part that said was bad(evap solinoid)that didnt fix fueling problem,and costly to remove tank to search for problem,going to fix myself.Find it hard to believe that this isn't a known problem.Second is a technical service bulletin from 2016,NHTA #101137960,Manufacturer #16-NA-195.This should be a recall and checked to see if repair has been made.I assume this won't be covered on my vehicle so I will have to fix fuell leak,truck only has 74,000 miles.This fuel leaking could be potentially dangerous,it's happening while your filling as well,would only know it unless you looked way under vehicle.Heavy fumes is bad as well.With this "technical bulletin"things you haul could drip and leak onto fuel tank so beds should be sealed to keep this from happening regardless!!

    MY 2015 COLORADO Z71IS EXPERIENCING MODERATE TO SEVERE HESITATION CONCERNS. IT'S PROGRESSIVELY GETTING WORSE. I FIRST BROUGHT IT BACK TO THE DEALERSHIP TO HAVE IT CHECKED OUT AROUND1000 MILES, 6000 AND NOW 20000. EACH TIME THEY CLAIMED THEY CAN'T DO ANYTHING BECAUSE THE DIAGNOSTICS REVEAL NO TROUBLE CODES, ALTHOUGH, PER AFOREMENTIONED BULLETIN, THERE'S PROOF THAT A PROBLEM EXISTS. I INQUIRED IF IT COULD BE A MECHANICAL ISSUE, BUT THEY REFUSED TO BECAUSE NO DIAGNOSTICS PRODUCED NO CODES/PROOF.

    Power steering and stabilitrak will suddenly go out while I’m driving with no warning. Recall repair was already performed 6/2023 yet I’m still experiencing the problem. I contacted the dealer within a few days of the repair and explained the problem was still occurring. The lady I spoke to said I didn’t tell them I was already having problems with the power steering when I dropped off the vehicle for repair. I was informed I would have to pay for the additional repair out of pocket.

    In our truck the power steering has been off and on since 2017. We called and visited multiple dealerships who admitted GMC/Chevy knows there is a problem but our vehicle vin was not associated with any fixes. Since April 2021 we have had zero power steering, also the stabilitrak light has always come on at the time of power steering loss. We have always had to use this truck for work and bought a 4 cyl for that exact purpose because its good on gas. I'm a nurse and travel sometimes 200+ miles daily for my job. I've had multiple near misses since the beginning of this problem and so has my husband, that could've ended very badly due to losing power steering in the middle of a turn etc. Well, my husband did have an accident January 15, 2021 when he had no power steering on a major highway. He was unable to evade a crash in front of him due to the steering loss. We are in an impossible situation and no dealership (they say this is an issue "way over dealership level") will help. GMC/ Chevy doesn't care, there is " no fix available" even though at May this year we have finally been added to the recall. WHY IS IT I HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT MY OWN AND MY HUSBANDS LIFE WHENEVER ONE OF US HAS TO DRIVE THIS VEHICLE. The recall LITERALLY STATES driving will increase the risk of a crash. WHY IS IT OK? WILL SOMEBODY PLEASE HELP US? PLEASE

    WHEN SLOWING DOWN AND THEN ACCELERATING AFTERWARD WHILE IN TRAFFIC THE VEHICLE DOES NOT DOWN SHIFT TO THE CORRECT GEAR. THE VEHICLE WILL THEN SPUTTER AND WILL BE VERY SLUGGISH TO ACCELERATE. THIS HAPPENS WHILE IN MOTION AS WELL AS FROM A COMPLETE STOP. I WAS NEARLY REAR ENDED WHILE MAKING A RIGHT TURN INTO TRAFFIC AND THE TRUCK WOULD NOT FIND THE CORRECT GEAR AND THUS WOULD NOT ACCELERATE ENOUGH TO GET OUT OF THE WAY FROM ONCOMING TRAFFIC. SEVERAL TIMES I THOUGHT THAT THE TRUCK WAS GOING TO KILL BECAUSE IT WAS SPUTTERING SO MUCH WHEN IN THE INCORRECT GEAR. TRUCK ALSO WOBBLES MORE THAN USUAL WHEN TURNING AND MAKES A POPPING SOUND IN A TURN. ALSO, RADIO ACTS LIKE IT HAS A MIND OF ITS OWN. NAVIGATION WILL GO HAYWIRE AS IF SOMEONE IS TOUCHING THE SCREEN, BUT NO ONE IS TOUCHING IT. RADIO WILL CHANGE CHANNELS ON ITS OWN AND VOLUME WILL INCREASE AND DECREASE WITHOUT ANY DRIVER INPUT.

THE SUN IS SETTING TOWARDS THE WEST SO THE LIGHT SENSOR ON THE DASH THAT CONTROLS THE AUTO HEADLIGHT FUNCTION DOESN'T SEE THE SUN DIRECTLY THINKS IT'S DARK OUTSIDE AND TURNS THE HEADLIGHTS ON. WHEN THIS HAPPENS THE INSTRUMENT PANEL LIGHTS GO DIM BECAUSE YOU HAVE SET THE DIM CONTROL THE PREVIOUS NIGHT TO A LOWER LEVEL THAT IS NOT BRIGHT AND DISTRACTING TO YOUR NIGHT TIME DRIVING. WHEN THIS HAPPENS YOU HAVE TO PHYSICALLY TAKE YOUR EYES OFF THE ROAD TO ADJUST THE DIM CONTROL SWITCH SO THE INSTRUMENT PANEL LIGHT IS BRIGHT ENOUGH DURING THE DAYLIGHT HOUR TO SEE AND READ THE INSTRUMENT PANEL. HEADLIGHTS SHINE A STRAIGHT HORIZONTAL BEAM OF LIGHT ABOUT 40 INCHES OFF THE ROADWAY. LIGHT BELOW/ DARKNESS ABOVE. THE FIRST TIME I DROVE AT NIGHT I FOUND THE HEADLIGHTS TOTALLY INADEQUATE! THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE. RETURNED TO THE DEALER TWICE FOR READJUSTMENT WITH NO IMPROVEMENT. TALKED TO THE SERVICE MANAGER [name removed] TO THE DISTRICT MANAGER. I ASKED FOR THE LIGHTS TO BE REPLACED WITH THE REFLECTOR TYPE HEADLIGHTS WHICH COME ON THE BASE TRUCK. THEY SAID THE PROJECTOR TYPE HEADLIGHTS MEET CHEVROLET SPECS AND NO CHANGE COULD BE MADE. THE DEALER OFFERED TO CHANGE THE HEADLIGHTS FOR ABOUT $1000.00, MY MONEY! I CALLED CHEVROLET CORPORATE AND THEY TOLD ME THE SAME ANSWER- THE LIGHTS MEET CHEVROLET SPECS AND THE INQUIRY IS OVER. I AM FILING THIS REPORT AS A SAFETY CONCERN. I CAN NOT DRIVE THIS VEHICLE SAFELY AFTER DARK. ALL HIGHWAYS ARE NOT FLAT. THE ROADWAY DISAPPEARS DRIVING INTO INCLINES, DRIVING AROUND CORNERS, AND ROADSIDE SIGNAGE IS DIFFICULT TO READ. IT'S A ROLLER COASTER RIDE. DEALER WILL DO NOTHING ON ITS OWN.     Power steering keeps cutting out as well as stabilitrak, after supposedly being fixed under the 2015 recall. Original recall wasn't even done properly according to the recall informational sheet. Second recall in 2021, I never received any recall letters, now dealership are saying I am out of recall warranty and want me to replace the entire steering rack assembly instead of just the torque sensor cover as stated in the revised 2021 recall, this is an inherent safety issue that has been recalled multiple times now so it should be covered or at least replaced properly.

    LEFT REAR TIRE BLOWOUT WHILE TRAVELING SOUTHBOUND ON US HWY 550 AT MILE POST 84 OVER RED MOUNTAIN PASS. THIS IS A PARTICULARLY DANGEROUS PASS WITH STEEP DROP OFFS AND NARROW, IF ANY, SHOULDERS. DRIVER WAS ABLE TO FIND ROOM ON THE RIGHT SIDE OF ROAD TO REMOVE THE BLOWN OUT TIRE AND MOUNT THE SPARE. HAD THIS BLOWOUT OCCURRED ON ANOTHER STRETCH OF THE ROAD, DRIVER AND TRUCK WOULD HAVE GONE OVER THE EDGE. ASPHAULT PAVEMENT WAS DRY AND ICE-FREE AT THE TIME. DRIVER JUDGES THE BLOWOUT DUE TO MANUFACTURING DEFECT: PLY AND TREAD SEPARATION. TIRE WAS OEM PROVIDED WITH THE NEW TRUCK, NOT QUITE 2 YEARS OLD, AND OTHERWISE AMPLE TREAD LIFE. DRIVER HAS PHOTOGRAPHS OF THE TIRE, AND KEEPS THE TIRE IN HIS BARN FOR INSPECTION IF REQUIRED.
